Dutch DJ/producer Lobster is another example of Amsterdam’s visionary and fertile underground scene. Emerging from the notorious rave community through his former residency at Orphic Amsterdam, where he perfected the craft of playing dancefloor and storyline inspired techno, this current Vault Sessions resident knows how to scan and adapt to any crowd. With a musical library spanning multiple sub-genres, tempos, and decades, Lobster always has the fitting track ready to be played out, scouting the dancefloor for the perfect moment. 

Uncompromising in his vision, Lobster has carved out his own unique space, steadfastly pushing his signature tripped-out high energy sound without succumbing to fleeting trends. Yet, despite his persistence, he remains ever-curious, constantly seeking fresh inspiration to fuel his creative fire. Combined with his unconditional passion for electronic music, it is certain Lobster is and will continue to be a dominant force in today’s techno scene.

His commitment to consistency and keen sense of the crowd have led him to play sets for hungry audiences in venues all across the globe, like Bassiani, Awakenings, Vault Sessions, Freedom Medellin, Ratherlost, Basement New York, RSO, BRET, Laster Madrid and many more. 

As the years passed, his journey took a turn towards the studio, where the focus shifted from just playing music to creating it. Rejecting the notion of rigidly defining what a track should be before it’s made, Lobster embraces a more organic approach. For this artist, creativity isn't about control; it's about flow. This approach has allowed him to produce tracks that resonate with authenticity and his raw emotion.

Zurich-born, Berlin-based DJ AYA has a keen eye for finessing the vitality, sexiness and punch of any given dancefloor. Their first love, UK bass, captured their imagination over a seven-year stint in London and brought her into electronic music’s binding fold. Bass’ quintessential groove and playfulness have been a lens informing AYA’s gravitational pull towards different genres. From immersive, clean techno kicks to diasporic motifs like grime vocals and reggaeton beats, AYA saw mixing as an opportunity to express the wide-ranging palate they’d long cultivated as a listener. 

In only a handful of years, AYA’s career has quickly blown up to whirlwind status with a far-reaching roster of weekly gigs, including standouts like Khidi in Tbilisi, Boiler Room sets in Lisbon and Berlin, and label Live From Earth’s Panorama Bar showcase. AYA, whose intention is always “to bring the queers to dance”, finds great inspiration in the camaraderie of Berlin’s local scene, along with exploring new underground communities in cities like Istanbul and Tokyo. 

A self-described “hypegirl”, AYA continues to champion their distinctive sound, faithfully meshing their bass-y roots and floor-ready drive. For full AYA immersion, future production is in the works and being perfected. Never slowing down, AYA’s upcoming movements include a thorough Asia tour and further pivots outside continental Europe. Back home, she anticipates a busy spring and summer - most excitedly Europe’s queer weekend of the year, Whole Festival.  

Like the tracks she plays, AYA commands the desk with a joyous presence and sharp intuitiveness. She’s rightfully become an important player in Berlin’s new wave of DJs channelling the city’s limitless energy and sense of possibility.
