Constantinople est un ensemble musical qui a choisi de faire du voyage son fondement – voyage géographique, historique, culturel, intérieur –, de s’abreuver à toutes les sources et de viser les horizons lointains. Empruntant son nom à l’ancienne cité phare éclairant l’Orient et l’Occident, l’ensemble a été imaginé comme un espace de rencontres et de métissages par son directeur artistique Kiya Tabassian et fondé en 1998 à Montréal.

Constantinople is a musical ensemble that chose the journey—geographical certainly, but also historical, cultural and inner—as its cornerstone. It draws inspiration from all sources and aims for distant horizons. Inspired by the ancient city illuminating the East and West, Constantinople was founded in 1998 in Montreal by its artistic director, Kiya Tabassian.

Sina Bathaie is a multi-instrumentalist, producer, and composer with over 100 million streams across digital platforms. Originally from Iran, he’s celebrated for his unique blend of traditional instruments like the oud and ukulele, bringing an Eastern essence to his electronic music.

With extensive international touring experience, Sina has performed across North America, Europe, the Middle East, Australia, and New Zealand, selling out venues in cities such as  Sydney, Amsterdam, Cologne, and San Francisco. He has brought his music to renowned festivals and events such as Burning Man, Luminato, CINARS, and Mundial Montréal, showcasing his global reach

Sina’s music has charted 36 times across 25 countries, with his hit "Breath of Life" amassing 40 million streams and reaching the charts in Azerbaijan and Turkey. Another standout track, "Seven Ponds," trended upon its release in 2024. He has signed with leading labels such as Hoomidaas, Café de Anatolia, Windcatcher Records, Tibetania, and Camel VIP, further cementing his presence in the global music scene.

His musical journey began at seven, learning the santur under his father, Javad Bathaie, and studying Persian music with a focus on the oud.
