DJ ReCaro Antonte 

Most of the new wave of jet setting club and rave DJs comes from cities like New York, London, and Chicago but ReCaro hails from Madrid, Spain. ReCaro began his journey behind the decks in the summer of 1986, playing the underground club scene and producing his free outdoor “Magical Sunshine” and “Full Moon” festivals.

As trends shifted, he headed west to sunny Los Angeles, California the land of funk and disco. Despite relocating to the West Coast, the nickname “ReCaro” stuck and became a hallmark of his unique global dance sound. ReCaro returned to Southern California with an even broader vision, bringing his outdoor Magical Sunshine festivals wherever he could set up his sound system from the deserts of California to Native American reservations, and south across borders to Central and South America. He soon became one of the key players in laying the foundation for a strong and ethnically diverse West Coast dance scene.

ReCaro has always been a master at connecting with the crowd through music. He avoids being pigeonholed, embracing a wide array of styles. His sets create a warm, culturally rich vibe on the dance floor. Whether at San Diego’s legendary outdoor Narnia festivals or at the most underground lofts and warehouse parties, ReCaro performances transcend age, race, and sexual orientation. He has lit up clubs around the world and brought euphoric energy to crowds at both massive festivals and intimate loft parties. That versatility is rare in today’s scene, where the gap between genres is often vast.


While many top DJs stick to a single subgenre, ReCaro live sets blend multiple styles and bring people together. In an era of hyper specialization among DJs and producers, what sets ReCaro apart is his ability to spin everything from deep house, acid, funk, tribal, and trance to timeless classics seamlessly, with each set telling a story.

He is constantly touring and can still be found playing records from LA to NY and everywhere in between, continuing to spread the gospel according to Raja.
