Barakat Salaam is a diversified indvidual with roots from the City of Brotherly to Central Virginia. He was once crowned the Unsigned King of Central Virginia (under a different stage name) with his unique style and aggressive flow. Barakat took a hiatus from the hip hop scene for 13 years to focus on his religion and spiritual self. After Receiving his Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering he turned back to his roots of being a recording artist of the Hip Hop/Rap genre. 
 
Barakats new material is a reflection of his religous/spiritual life with some grit to it. He is very clever in his wordsmithing and catchy hooks that will leave the listener/fan knowing the song by the end of it. Sometimes his simple but powerful words will have the listener reflecting on his/her own life. Bunyanun Marsus, which means "A Solid Cemented Structure", does just that. 
 
WASWAS (Whispers), United Nations featuring Ishues, Die for This (Structure of Love), I Can't Breathe featuring Ahmad Zayir of Muji Productions, and After Hardship are some of his notable records that have been getting streamed on Soundcloud. Look out for projects and new material to be dropping in the future.

Jaxson Free born in Greenwood, South Carolina and raised close to home in cities such as Raleigh and Charlotte North Carolina is an artist on the rise. Inspired by renown artist like Isaiah Rashad and 6lack, Free creatively mixes the melodic sounds of R&B with deep, lyrical Hip-Hop cadences and influence. Jaxson has been consistently growing his brand and expanding his audience by performing at many local Carolina staples such as Motorco Music Hall, k97.5 and Lincoln Theatre. Rise Rashid is a multi talented rapper, actor, author, mentor, and high school basketball coach. Representing Virginia but currently residing in Raleigh, NC, he is an assistant varsity basketball coach at Millbrook High School which in the last 3 years has a record of 76-10. He works with 1,000s of teens a day from all types of backgrounds and makes genuine connections with each of them through mentoring, coaching, and most of all his music.
 
Rise Rashid is regarded as a young legend in many areas of Central and Southside Virginia. From 2003-2013, Rise released several mixtapes, albums, a book, hosted 2 FM radio show, starred in a movie, and made history on stage as an actor with the Black Theater Ensemble and the Academy of Fine Arts. His talent across the board helped excel him to an artistic level that is difficult to reach for most independent musicians in that area. 
 
For Rise, music has always been the number one passion. For the passed 3 years he has released some of the most creative mixtapes titled "Microphone Jordan" (2014), "Microphone X" (2015), and the latest "Microphone Ali" (2016) which is currently making waves across the Internet. His current single "Miseducated" is a tale of a young black man's point of view in the education system and where it leads to our place in society. Through his music he finds a way to connect with fans from older generations all while successfully delivering his message to the younger generations of today.
