Growing up in both the cities of Long Beach & Carson, CA, Dread Kennedy has always been connected to music through​ ​his culture. As a Polynesian, of Samoan decent, language, music, and dance has always been three of the biggest representations of his roots​. Currently  the lead singer for a ​Southern California band, named Ital Vibes and vocalist in Josh Heinrichs, Voltron band, Dread Kennedy has​ ​since broadened his talents to become quite the all-around musician. Adding the ukulele, guitar, bass, piano, and drums to his repertoire it was only a matter of time he would​ embark on a road as a solo artist. Along with his gifted vocal, songwriting, and freestyle abilities, Dread Kennedy has a high energy​, on stage presence that will leave you with a lasting impression only wanting more.​ ​He has also gained the recognition and support from his peers and​ It is not uncommon to see artists such as Collie Buddz, Josh Heinrichs, Fortunate Youth, Tribal Seeds, and​ ​a legend like Pato Banton pull him on stage​ ​for a family jam​ ​and toasting session.​ ​Performing at major west coast festivals such as Cali Roots, One Love Cali Reggae fest, Reggae on the Mountain, and Dry Diggins, it is safe to say that Dread Kennedy was born for the stage and "Mr. Music Man" for the masses. With a want and drive to impact the masses in positivity through realism and relatable music, Dread Kennedy is paving his way into musical reggae history​ ​one heart at a time.

Dread Kennedy has had the pleasures of sharing the stage with notable acts such as  Rebelution, The Wailers, Soja, Chronixx, Ziggy Marley, Pepper, Don Carlos, Expendables, Slightly Stoopid, Stick Figure, and much, much more.
