Starting as a basement and an idea, and becoming a Chicago nightlife institution - Spybar Nightclub has been the literal underground music destination for the downtown Chicago area for over 25 years. The small room with the big sound on Franklin & Erie has consistently presented globally recognized artists as well as up-and-coming producers and DJs, who are always paired with our talented resident and Chicago-area DJs. Some of the biggest festival and international party brands and record labels have thrown events which kept the dance floor packed ’til the early hours. Based in Chicago, IL., house music producer David Coconate set out to spread a new style of house music combining the heavy and melodic bass-lines of bass house, with the groovy beats of tech and deep house. With a vision to spread the love of house music, DAVID BLK has had songs supported from Don Diablo, Firebeatz, Ferry Corsten, and many more. With over 15 years of experience being a musician, the collaboration of styles creates a unique and original sound that sets his music and live performances apart from others.
