Dr Splink is here!   In the spirit of the New Year Splink is rebooting as Dr Splink. Still  the same infectious beats, cartoon characters & catchy vibes to get  you skanking, grooving & laughing. We will medicate with music,  prescribe with polyrhythms & diagnose dancing as inevitable. 
Dr Splink are a 6 piece from Somerset and Devon originally called Splink in the 2019 changed their name
Dr Splink has landed.. Playing an original blend of Jazz, Ska, Reggae and Punk. They have been compared with ‘The Blockheads, Madness and The Stranglers.’ “They are professional musicians  who specialise in having lots of fun, getting crowds smiling, laughing, dancing and singing along. They appeal to audiences of all musical tastes, Their original outstanding songs, stick in the mind. They put on a great performance and even hand out cheese to the audience”. 
Dr Splink have supported acts such as ‘The Blockheads’ for The Future Sound of Exeter & Phonic FM Christmas party. ‘Ruts DC’ at Exeter Phoenix,  ‘Eat The Rich’ at Tiverton Town Hall, ‘The Barefoot Bandits’ at The Hickory and ‘Jabbrock’ at A Refugee Fundraiser
They have performed at ‘Beautiful Days, One Love, Alice Wicked Tea Party, Lawfroda, Home Farm, Feral Fest, Outcider Festival, 20th Anniversary Plymouth Punk Picnic, Exmouth Festival, Old Hat Fest, Bradnich Festival and  headlined the Withy Fest.’
Dr Splink are proud to have been recently added to the playlists of  Radio Caroline, Bay Radio & Phonic FM. They have also featured on the ‘Straight Out Of Somerset’ CD (showcasing the best of the counties new and up and coming talent) as well as the ‘Plymouth Punk Picnics 20th Birthday’ CD. They recently released an EP ‘Splink’  recorded at the Fuelled By Cider Studio.

Since the late eighties Sebastien Borgo aka Ogrob has been exploring noise experiment in the most varied of forms through numerous projects, collaborations and records : field & heterodyne recordings, low-tech, noise improv, anti drone, industrial, shamanoise, prepared guitar, guitars installation, no wave, musique brute, post punk, cheap electronics ...

As of today, he is involved in 2 collective projects : L'Autopsie A Révélé Que La Mort Etait Due À L'Autopsie (with Aka_bondage, Anla Courtis, Franq De Quengo), and Micro_penis (with Carl_Y, Claude Spenlehauer, François Heyer)

He also is one of the founding members of experimental post-punk trio Sun Plexus (1993-2010) and neocybernetic unit Ich Bin
(1988-2008)

From the start a subscriber to the DIY ethos, attached to his independency, working self-sufficiently, away from decision makers and institutions, unsubsidized. He was born in 1969, originally from and currently living in Mulhouse, France.
