The EP kicks into gear with the original mix of ‘Uh Oh’, a rolling groovy slice of techno funk that’s been injected with plenty of ounces of attitude to ensure the dancefloor is swerving on cue. The momentum is switched up courtesy of rising talents, the Cocodrills. The pair from Miami Beach have souped up Cowan’s original to craft a more driving re-rub, with a tasty bouncing bassline that’s combined with unexpected chops of melody and heavily crafted drums that propel the track forward with each bar. A peak-time bomb through and through.

Music is colorful, diverse and vibrant as the butterflies. Almost 180,000 different species live in 127 families. The music by Boris Brejcha is like a "Feuerfalter" (copper). On one side the butterfly is relaxing and floating on the wind, but on the other hand he also sets with steam and fire to a fall into a low altitude. This is how it feels when Brejcha makes music.

The fourth album is exactly the description of this "Feuerfalter", a kind of backflash into the impressive career of Boris Brejcha. An album that deliberately shows how the artist works versatile. Times slightly floating, sometimes wild hitting the wing, always full of passion. The influences of his travelings and performances characterize his art again.

This creates a music that may be accompanied on Brejchas audience the whole day: at home, in a relaxed atmosphere or just at night, when the trip through the clubs starts. On the album "Feuerfalter" this individuality is turned on. Brejcha even picks up the desire of his ans to weave a few quieter tracks into his cosmos.

The one and only Eric Sneo graces Phobiq for the first time with this three-track journey into sleek, chrome-plated Techno. 
The title track has been surgically arranged so that the cavernous percussion and spacious effects can take over the whole track with their immersing strength. The grinding drums in combination with the hypnotic, filtered riff running throughout the track kick things up a notch and ensure maximum overdrive. 
On &#8220;Stanch&#8221;, snappy drums provide the backdrop for otherworldly hi-hats to pound away while the focus shifts to the immense rhythm section and percussive mayhem. As expected, an apocalyptic breakdown ensues and all hell proceeds to break loose. &#8220;Interleaved&#8221; picks up from there and seals the EP with classic chords that mutate over time together with more sonic manipulation, which ultimately serves as an exhibition of effortless mastery.

Shaded is the new solo project of Skyler Taugher, one of the members of SHDWPLAY, whose releases to date have all been via Dubfire's SCI+TEC label, which speaks to his talent for stripped-down, big room techno. This four track EP bridges the gap between pumping, classic M_nus-style minimal techno and whatever it's more fun and modern counterpart is. 

Opener Sheshe has been a staple in label-boss Tiga's sets of late, a slick, energetic and eminently playable club record. Things get darker for Side Sippin and Jane Smith Goes To DC10 before closer Single Freax funs things up again in the closer slot with what sounds like a police siren on drugs under a vocal going “freak-freak-freak,” classic elements for effective party tools…

“I wanted to produce something broken, something around 120 BPM which could be useful for my live sets”, says Dresden musician Jonas Woehl. The melody in “Skin” consists of many samples and he produced the bassline with his newest hardware: Moog Miniatur. “I’d say it’s a nice and melodic listening song which also suits summer walks and evenings."

"Ich wollte etwas Gebrochenes machen, was sich trotzdem im Tempo um die 120 BPM befindet und ich in meine Livesets einbauen könnte", sagt der aus Dresden stammende Jonas Woehl über seine neueste Produktion. Bei "Skin" besteht ein sehr großer Teil der Melodie aus Samples. Die Bassline kommt aus seiner neuesten Hardware, die er sich letztens gekauft hat: Moog Miniatur. "Ich denke, es ist eine nette melodische Listeningnummer, die auch ganz gut zu den aktuellen Sommerabenden und -spaziergängen passen könnte.
