@loekfrey is a name that now sits up there with some of the most exciting talents to have emerged from the Dutch scene in recent times. It's his unique blend of IDM, techno, breakbeat and drum & bass that has turned so many heads, not least with his Decipher album on home label Omen Wapta which was a widescreen soundscape of varying intensities and tempos. His ability to veer from the intricate and experimental to the hallucinatory and vibrant is second to none as he proves with his mix for us this week. 

It is a special one that is fully live and made up entirely of his own productions so makes for a perfect window into his world. Inside you will find 60 atmospheric minutes that soon immerse you in cinematic cosmic ambiance and hurried minimal rhythms embellished with ghoulish voices and dark undertones that unite both body and mind. It's a sleek and linear journey defined by the constant presence of a supple and pulsing bassline that transports you to distant future worlds in style.

Marco Maldarella - designer, producer and DJ active in Bologna since 2016. Together with Christian Duka he is part of @marmo-927292184 an artistic collaboration (dis)located between London (UK) and Bologna (IT) that focuses on live performances ranging from experimental electronica, to left-field/off-kilter techno.

With a background in a metal band, following their 2017 debut split EP with Codex Empire on Khemia Records, and further releases on Metempsychosis, Corresponding Position, Esperpento. They have performed live between London (Unmasked London/Kaos Electrowerkz, The Glove That Fits, Anima Fest, Above Below, Aures London), Berlin (Tresor, Spectrum) and Italy (Link - Bologna, Kindergarten, Tank, ZR-Factory, Cocoricò).

Kaspiann liveshows encouraged a burgeoning experimental landscape to emphasize the tactile feeling of rhythm manipulation. Astral virtuosities dazzling fromout the deepest corners of winter sun. The perpetual beauty smoldered in ecstatic bliss. 

With his own VALA imprint the Helsinki based producer releases his own music in relation to production made with other artists who are close to him. Later this year he will release on Delsin's Mantis series. Forest swords ranging high with his participation towards the Cleptu serie.

I’m very pleased that he participated and will be the one to guide us through his musical fascinations.

Co-founder and resident at the Copenhagen underground rave party Endurance, Ezy is a techno/trance DJ/producer and a time-served mainstay on the floor as well as in Copenhagen’s alternative music underground.
Ezy is one of many artists on the city’s fast techno scene with a history in the punk scene and has built a reputation for delivering tight sets merging fast trippy old-school techno, with low key alternative goa and psytrance cuts, free sounds and own productions.

His style is percussive and energetic, skilfully shifting from funky and agile to gloomy and ghosty. Ezy has released tracks on BunkerBauer, UTE Recs, Fast Forward and is soon releasing his debut EP on his own label Tricky Grain. 

For this show EZY going deep in the darkness with an experi-mental tribal breakbeats and drum'n'bass mix.

With a blend of stipped-back textures, haunting atmospheres, and unexpected turns, he aims to sculpt thought-provoking landscapes to be absorbed and revisited.

This next guest has been a loyal contributor to Oslo’s cultural landscape for some years now, and moulded it to his own imagining. Marius Bø is one half of Accelerationism and cofounder of the UTE collective, whose name has become synonymous with surreptitious forest raves and a label of the same name (UTE.REC), publisher to fellow purveyors of contemporary psychedelic trance like Oprofessionell (UTE’s second mastermind) and Alpha Tracks. Creeping out of the Scandinavian forests that have played host to those painstakingly curated gatherings comes a fearsome sound distinctly his own. His work dovetails futuristic soundscapes and old-school acid distortions to mind altering effect, and posits this guttural psychedelic techno as a result. It’s a trance-permeated amalgam that’s gaining traction everywhere from Basel's Elyisa to Taipei’s Pawnshop and a raft of other venues in any city worth its salt. Bassiani Podcast 204 is an atmospheric two-hour blend of vast and trippy beats, primordial techno with woodland roots, where Marius dives into the deeper facets of his collection.
