Shaped by Jared Squires (@jaredsquires) (guitar/vocals), Luke Nevills (@luke-nevills) (bass/keys/guitar), Brandon Hailey (saxophone), Owen Mayo (guitar/keys/bass), Trevor Church (@trevdchurch) (drums), Connor Merritt (aux percussion), Alex Dean (synth/keys), and Sean Connelly (@Seanycee) (vocals/keys), Cytrus’ eight-piece funk-driven fusion makes a place at the table for everyone, offering a psychedelic pallet of funk, disco, electronic, rock, soul, hip-hop, and more. The Seattle-based band is personalized by its juicy synths, bass-induced grooves, and cinematic live performances. However, the group is best known for their flowing transitions in variety, consistently sonic wall of sound, and undeniable chemistry. 

In their short time together, Cytrus has witnessed massive growth within itself and the surrounding community. Originally founded as a four-piece in early 2018 under the cover of HopSol, the ‘couple buds’ quickly began to absorb additional musicians and soon came to completely and precipitously join forces with a group formerly known as @BunkFoss. As a bi-product, the eight-piece has begun to build a dedicated fan base in the Northwest and beyond, co-hosting multiple sold out events throughout Western Washington and becoming a go-to act for promoters throughout the region. The merge sparked a turning point in the band’s sound, energy, and presence, ergo giving Cytrus its newfound name.

Morgan has been writing songs and performing for over 25 years. With themes ranging from life, love, death, nature, politics, culture, people, and more, Morgan's music captures an honest perspective from one person in Appalachian America.   Morgan's debut album "BLOOD MOON" was released in late September 2015.  Morgan released a live album entitled, "Live 10/22/2016" in 2017.  In 2018, Morgan formed a new musical collective called Wildwood Franklin.  Releasing their single "American Trump Card" in fall of 2020.   Morgan is currently working on a new album that will be due out sometime in 2023-24.

Morgan and Wildwood Franklin recently released the single “Covid Rag”.  A tale of heartache and heartbreak in the pursuit of freedom, right here in America.

Morgan is a singer songwriter, producer and educator from the Appalachian hills of Ohio. He has performed in many music projects throughout the years including Peach Melba and Blood Moon. His most recent project is a folk music collective called Wildwood Franklin.

The feels of Morgan's lyrics and sound convey a message of peace, truth and love. Morgan's music encapsulates the essence of the sound characterized as Americana. Although, the sound is fluid and evolutionary.
