DJ Dextro returns to CLR with the ‘Nada’ EP. The Portuguese artist’s second CLR release follows last Summer’s ‘Motivo’ EP.

DJ Dextro returns to CLR 16th May 2025 with the follow-up to 2024’s ‘Motivo’ EP. Consisting of three tracks, the influential Lisbon artist drops title track ‘Nada’ first, deep dub atmospheres permeating between tight drum loops in a hazy trip before ‘Gift From The Future’ races through the stars with rapid-fire kick drums and hypnotic synth work. ‘Vacuum Decay’ then closes the release out, tumbling sequences creating
an almost jacking feel for full-blown lose-yourself dancefloor energy from an artist supported by the likes of Dave Clarke, Alienata, Marcel Dettmann, GiGi FM, Dubfire, and many more.

Active since the early ‘90s, Portuguese artist DJ Dextro boasts a vast discography on labels like Missile Records, Mutual Rhythm, UNCAGE, Planet Rhythm and Portugal’s very own Naked Lunch Records. He’s also a prolific remixer, having reworked music from artists such as The Advent, Scuba, and Drumcomplex.

Founded by influential techno lynchpin Chris Liebing in 1999 and reemerging in 2021 after a five-year hiatus, Create Learn Repeat (CLR) has hosted a range of artists like DEAS, Shlomi Aber, Drumcell, Truncate and more while also focussing on developing newer acts in the scene such as B. Riley, The Southern, and Klint.

We are back with some fresh new talent from Finland - Kid93, who delivers a 4-track EP packed with driving low-end, funky machine funk, and vocal-laced tension that nods to classic warehouse energy while keeping things undeniably fresh.

The title track 'Master Blaster' opens the EP with a tight, rolling groove forming the backbone while metallic synth hits and warped FX textures rattle around the stereo field. It’s relentless but funky, pure stripped-down momentum with a late-night attitude, making this one a proper set-builder and floor-shaker.

'Machine Soul' goes deeper into Dub-indebted territory, fusing robotic swing with a soulful core. The beat is minimal yet warm, spiced with dusty drums and shimmering percussions, giving the track both mechanical precision and emotional resonance.

'Nocturnal Animals' is a percussive groover built around syncopated rhythms, vocal snippets, and melodic motifs that flirt with paranoia. It’s hypnotic and unpredictable with a unique flavour for a strobe-lit basement.

Closing out the EP with 'Down Dirty' - a rave-ready bomb equiped with the raw drums, crunchy snares, and a rolling sub. This is pure warehouse heat - nasty, funky, and impossible to ignore whether you're deep in a bunker or on a festival rig.

Not many labels make it to release number fifteen, let alone year 15, but that’s exactly the milestone the Moon Harbour Recordings family is celebrating throughout 2015.

Headed up by esteemed DJ, producer, remixer and Circoloco/DC10 Ibiza resident Matthias Tanzmann and manager André Quaas, the Leipzig based label has lasted so long on account of it having always moved ahead of the times. Celebrated for its diverse output from tech house to minimal to deeper club sounds, the label’s ever evolving roster of artists is like a who’s who of the contemporary scene.

Since the turn of the millennium it has been a bastion of deep and tech house quality that has not moved with the times, but has defined them ahead of trend. Running up the spine of the label’s quality output over the years have been full length albums from the likes of Matthias Tanzmann in 2008, Luna City Express in 2009, Martinez in 2010 and Ekkohaus in 2013. So too does the label offer up a label compilation series, Moon Harbour Inhouse, which tells the story of the label’s evolution, and along the way there have been many underground hits including now close family member Sable Sheep’s debut EP Upon Burning Skies in 2013, Arado & Marco Faraone’s Strange Neighbours in 2010 and Santos’ Hold Home in 2009.

Next to core family members and label acts like Luna City Express, Sable Sheep, Marco Faraone, Sven Tasnadi, Dan Drastic and the boss himself are new school talents and carefully A&R’ed artists like Adam Port, Re.You, Ekkohaus, wAFF, Cuartero, Steve Lawler, DJ T., Chris Wood & Meat, Butch and Detlef., together these DJs and producers wholly encapsulate the infectious Moon Harbour sound. Thanks to the reputation of the label, Moon Harbour label showcases are a solid addition to globally acknowledged festivals and events such as the Miami Music Week, Sónar week in Barcelona, the Amsterdam Dance Event and at various places in Ibiza, to name a few.

With that, we continue our new series here, and in conjunction with Deep House Amsterdam, highlighting some of our favourite labels from around the world, we thought we would catch up with Moon Harbour Radio host and manager Dan Drastic and get the scoop on all things Moon Harbour Records. Here, you will find information on the label’s history, ethos, releases and future. As you can probably tell by know, we are asking each respective label rep the same questions. With this approach, we hope these showcases will be as educational and informative (for all you aspiring label heads out there) as they are entertaining.

Uto Karem, a renowned techno music artist and mastermind behind Agile Recordings, has been a dominant force in the industry for over two decades. His mixing mastery and captivating grooves have ignited dance floors worldwide.
