Like with a lot of my covers, I transcribed the base version first. The pitch bends on the lead were a PAIN IN THE NECK to recreate in Mixcraft, but I managed to get them sounding decent enough.
Fleshing it out was a fairly simple, yet rewarding experience! For those of you who might not already know, I've been a fan of Thomas The Tank Engine since I was a little kid. And when I saw this post from The Caledonian Engines (https://twitter.com/RealCaledonian/status/1442612689797189632,) I just couldn't resist the motivation, no matter how dumb of a reason it was hueh. So I wound up turning this into something reminiscent of a music piece from season 6 or 7 of that show.
Incredibly happy with how this turned out, and I hope you guys enjoy!

Man, motivation really comes in once in a month, huh. Just thought I could fill in the leftover from Queen "Chaos King", yep, it's a "Lancer" for Berdly! You know what this means for one of the future uploads =P In addition to what's been said, I imagine Berdly as someone who just happens to discover the dark world first and becomes the missing person in the Light World. So people go search for him everywhere, but to no avail. Fortunately, the heroes finally manage to find him in the Dark World! But why does he look like he's working for someone...? Does he happen to be somebody's personal peon? He looks pretty happy about it...

Alphys, who has made herself known as Commander Y., is one of the leaders of Team Yellow, and one of the primary targets of Suzy's mischief. She believes it to be more satisfying to rile up Alphys than it is to rile up anyone else on either team.

Her old geeky self is pretty much gone in favor of a far more fierce, albeit still occasionally timid warrior. She's not found herself in leadership position for nothing, after all. (Granted, nobody else was particularly more qualified, either.)

She's prone to being especially tunnel-visioned, here, glancing past details she normally otherwise might heavily scrutinize over. War really has changed her.

After some clever tricks by Kris and Suzy to evade Alphys for as long as they could manage, she finally manages to catch up to the two of them and corner them. Somewhat upset at both herself and the duo that she managed to get tricked like that in the first place, decides to do what she "should've done from the very start", and starts aiming her (paint)gun at them.

Alphys' main modes of attack consists of using her paintball gun to shoot at Kris and Suzy, as well as using her electric magic. She also occasionally calls for back-up, who can all be spared pretty easily. Alphys can also be spared, the method thereof still needs to be decided, but the battle doesn't hinge on running away from her to end the battle, and successfully sparing her will automatically spare whoever else is still in-battle.

The SOUL mechanic in this battle combines the soul-rotating of the green SOUL mode with the shooting of the yellow SOUL mode. Kris' soul turns red here. Their SOUL is confined to a single point, allowing only rotating to take place, forcing them to deflect oncoming attacks with bullets of their own.

The Conductor fills Mettaton's shoes in this world. It turns out that, admidst all of Conductor's schemes, *Tom* has been the one secretly pulling the strings. Tired of the foul way he's been treated all these years, he orchestrated every way that Conductor's plans to triumph over Bow ultimately failed. And the desired result? Show Conductor's audience the real him, the one that isn't putting on a performance.
Tom's ulterior motives have forced Conductor into a position where he has to come clean about how they feel -- TRULY clean. After a furious battle on his part, Conductor finally cracks and admits that he misses DJ Grooves (or "DJ Peckneck" as he keeps calling him.) He admits (among other things) that it's long past time for the two birds to bury the hatchet. Before Conductor leaves to do just that, he apologizes. To the viewers for having to see him like this, to his owls and (only slightly reluctantly cause of the very fresh betrayal) Tom for the way he's treated them all these years, and lastly... to Bow for all the trouble as she got swept up in all this.

This may come as a surprise to people who weren't aware that I uploaded the original version of this song on @emihead with the news that this AU had been effectively cancelled.
I've decided that I don't want to can it entirely, but I don't have the time, energy, or motivation to make a full 101-song soundtrack anymore.
With that said, I may make a FEW more songs for it, but the whole "soundtrack order" thing is being thrown out of the window. I'll likely be sticking to "big" songs that I personally find interesting.
I hope you all understand and continue to enjoy UMBRATALE.
