The work is done. Nearly nine years in the making. Evolved through countless iterations. Forged and reforged session by session, season after season. Several lifetimes worth of happenings happened. Finally complete.

Utu Lautturi's upcoming album is a six-piece collection of unique sound collages. Based on improvised acoustic instrumentation, percussive rituals, collaborative ideas, intimate field recordings and organic sound design, Syvin ydin guides the listener to journey, frolic, rest and meditate on an emotionally rich and sonically flourishing landscape. Compared to Utu's previous work, most pieces on the album are of a warmer and brighter hue. Each track is created with intent, each sound has a story. I wonder what you will hear in them...

This album teaser is a scratch on the surface...compiling, cutting and pasting a picture not too different from the primary source, yet unique as a piece of art in itself. All video material and most audio has been recorded in Porvoo, Finland. Videos captured by my lovely wife, Mielikki Ketunkorpi. Live visual effects were added by recording the source material through a Kaleidoscope.
