Monnom Black presents” Legacy”, an introspective journey through the illustrious career of the legendary German electronic artist, Thomas P. Heckmann. This momentous release marks the first time Heckmann curates a comprehensive compilation, delving into all his various aliases and timeless tracks, including Knarz, AGE, Heckmann, Skydiver, Spectral Emotions, Purple Plejade, and the infamous DRAX, which commemorates its 30th anniversary this year.

"Legacy" encompasses a total of 23 tracks, 17 slated across three slabs of vinyl with an additonal six digital bonuses, featuring the cream of Heckmann's underground hits, such as "Himmel Und Hoelle," "Tanzmaschine," "Teufelswerk," and "EBM1," alongside lesser-known gems like "Chiswick Days" and "Parnophelia."

Throughout his career, Heckmann has showcased his prowess across multiple shades of electronic genres. However, it is his contributions to Industrial, EBM-Techno, Acid, and Experimental that have propelled him to notoriety. In 1994, Heckmann's acid-infused masterpiece, "Amphetamine" as DRAX LTD. II, launched him into the global spotlight as a force to be reckoned with.

Having released his latest studio album, "Body Music," in 2018 on Monnom Black, Heckmann subsequently featured on The World of Monnom Black compilations. Now, he returns to celebrate his groundbreaking contributions to electronic music and enduring Legacy with this special release.

BT Premiere: Vibrations of Gravity - Tambor [SLC002]

The strength of the community continues to shape Valencia. Months may have passed, but the dedication of the producers featured in this release has been evident from day one. Many of them not only contributed their music from the very beginning but also made personal donations to support those in need during the hardest moments.

At the end of October, the DANA brought torrential rain to Valencia, causing severe flooding in various parts of the province. Many families lost their homes and belongings, businesses were heavily impacted, and tragically, some lives were lost. The recovery has been a long process, and community support has been essential in helping those forced to start over.
Since the first Germanor, music has been our bridge, connecting artists and collectives with a shared cause. Thanks to the incredible response from the electronic scene, we have now surpassed €10,000 in donations, directing support towards neighbourhood associations, animal shelters, and social projects that work directly with those who need it most.

"Germanor" is our way of proving that music unites, inspires, and leaves a lasting impact. To everyone who has contributed and continues to support this initiative—thank you.

Premiere: Falling Echoes - The Wall

Uun's techno blends widescreen grayscale imagery with propulsive dancefloor pressure. Whether crafting what Hardwax dubs "straight ahead techno juggernauts" or deep, introspective tools, his work is grounded in a masterful command of atmosphere and texture. 

Uun developed his interest in fringe sounds as a guitarist and drummer in his hometown of Kansas City before shifting his attention to electronic music in 2012. This led him to relocate to Detroit, where he spent seven years pushing deeper into the underground techno scene, refining his production and performance methods. Between the Midwest and  several periods in Berlin—another city he's found a deep connection to—he's honed a style that's allowed his music to nimbly navigate between different subgenres, "quietly infiltrating" the genre from multiple angles at once. 

Uun's sound and his ability to mold it into a variety of forms has captured the attention of lauded techno labels like Mord, Semantica, and Soma. On his own Ego Death imprint, he pushes past genre confines and deeper into his music's underlying themes, exploring existentialism, duality, and the role of the artist in the modern era. His first full length, 2022's Derealization, interrogated dreams through rebuilding memories of liminal spaces, and on his latest Ego Death release, 2024's Platform Decay, he laces his tracks with a poignant criticism of social media-driven cultural homogenization while doubling down on his own uncompromising sound. 

As a live performer, Uun distills years of his studio practice into cathartic sets that build off his productions while pushing them into exploratory new territory. His live show has taken him to legendary clubs like Berlin's Tresor, Tbilisi's Khidi, Detroit's Movement Festival, and Brookyln's Basement, and alongside the decade-plus of releases under his belt, it's safe to say Uun's infiltration of techno might not be so quiet for much longer.
