_techno(part IIII)

Multidisciplinary artist and curator @bongvr, also known as Visceral Infusions, explores the boundaries of sound and image through music, experimental photography, and visual design. Originally from Stavropol, Russia, he began shaping the local underground scene through event series such as Probel and Revault before moving to Saint Petersburg in 2017 and later settling in Tbilisi in 2022.

His musical output, featured on labels such as Aneehli, BAHN Records, .inphase, and an upcoming LP on Somnia, spans hypnotic techno and 85/170 bpm grey-area electronics, blurring the lines between DnB, downtempo, and bass.

In Tbilisi, Bøngvr curates the event series Thesis, focused on experimental and cross-genre sounds, and co-founded the Montenegro-based Otkriche Festival.

Beyond music, he contributes to visual culture through collaborations with our sub-label Blende Hub and ongoing design work for Hohe and 04061. His latest recorded set comes from Sscaping, a long-running event series.

PREMIERE: Josef Gaard - Resona [Art Bei Ton]

Blunda was conceived during our seventh open demo submission phase, in which over 190 members of Aedi were invited to submit one of their tracks voluntarily.

All submissions were collected in an anonymous playlist and voted on by everyone in the community. The title and artwork underwent similar democratic processes.

Born and residing in Saint Petersburg, we welcome Russian artist ‘A.Denial’ as our next guest in the series. Inspired by her experiences past and present, Anastasiia uses music as an instrument of language; a harbinger for her experiences yet to come. 

Releasing on reputable labels such as ‘Art Bei Ton’, ‘Linee Sonore’ and ‘Diffuse Reality’. The founder of event series ‘Sacred Sound’ is becoming a substantial name in the electronic music scene, recently expanding to a second alias ‘Unknown Source’.

As mushrooms emerge after rainfall in sacred silence, this project honors those unseen forces that guide growth, transformation, and unity. Think of it as a ceremonial gathering through sound — a return to the dancefloor as one tribe, guided by rhythm, pulse, and deep organic textures.

This compilation gathers artists from Europe, Australia, and India exploring different techno territories. From slow-paced breakbeats to more functional 4-to-the-floor cuts, each track shares organic aesthetic and tribal energy.

Uun's techno blends widescreen grayscale imagery with propulsive dancefloor pressure. Whether crafting what Hardwax dubs "straight ahead techno juggernauts" or deep, introspective tools, his work is grounded in a masterful command of atmosphere and texture. 

Uun developed his interest in fringe sounds as a guitarist and drummer in his hometown of Kansas City before shifting his attention to electronic music in 2012. This led him to relocate to Detroit, where he spent seven years pushing deeper into the underground techno scene, refining his production and performance methods. Between the Midwest and  several periods in Berlin—another city he's found a deep connection to—he's honed a style that's allowed his music to nimbly navigate between different subgenres, "quietly infiltrating" the genre from multiple angles at once. 

Uun's sound and his ability to mold it into a variety of forms has captured the attention of lauded techno labels like Mord, Semantica, and Soma. On his own Ego Death imprint, he pushes past genre confines and deeper into his music's underlying themes, exploring existentialism, duality, and the role of the artist in the modern era. His first full length, 2022's Derealization, interrogated dreams through rebuilding memories of liminal spaces, and on his latest Ego Death release, 2024's Platform Decay, he laces his tracks with a poignant criticism of social media-driven cultural homogenization while doubling down on his own uncompromising sound. 

As a live performer, Uun distills years of his studio practice into cathartic sets that build off his productions while pushing them into exploratory new territory. His live show has taken him to legendary clubs like Berlin's Tresor, Tbilisi's Khidi, Detroit's Movement Festival, and Brookyln's Basement, and alongside the decade-plus of releases under his belt, it's safe to say Uun's infiltration of techno might not be so quiet for much longer.
