Sorcery is the next artist debuting on our Artaphine Series. Intense drum work accompanied by drone and ambient works fill the latest album Mirrors of Perception, released on Bedouin Records. His creativity is not bound to music alone, He's also directing video clips and generating visuals through artificial intelligence. Something he has done for his latest A/V show.

Sorcery has been so kind to send us the live/set recording from this A/V show at COMPOUND on New Years Day, sharing the lineup with Silent Servant and Regis.

Pate Jaar, hailing from Tbilisi, founded DifferentSound in 2017, shaping a musical journey of his own. It sounds like Pate Jaar is a prominent figure in the electronic music scene, particularly in techno. He's not only known as a DJ but also as the founder of DifferentSound Records and Concrete Tbilisi label. His musical style seems to be diverse, ranging from hypnotic, deep, groovy to hardcore techno, with a focus on creating immersive experiences for his audience.
DifferentSound Records, under Pate Jaar's leadership, appears to be more than just a record label. It seems to be a multifaceted organization involved in various aspects of the electronic music industry, including artist management, creative agency services, organizing events, and contributing to the techno scene in Tbilisi and beyond.
Overall, Pate Jaar seems to be deeply passionate about techno music and is actively involved in cultivating and promoting the genre, both locally and internationally.

Gannein hosts Psykoterapi in "Gannein Curates" on Line Out Radio !

Julia Larsson, also known as Psykoterapi, has been involved with the scene for nearly a decade, both as a raver and as a member of an underground culture community in her hometown, focusing on arranging electronic music events. As a DJ, she has quickly made her mark in the scene. Since stepping behind the decks in early 2023, she has established herself as one of Stockholm’s rising DJ talents, currently holding residencies at the underground rave concept Spektrum and at Koordinat, a club and rave event concept.

Her sets are known for their high-energy atmosphere, blending fast-paced, dark groove, hypnotic loops and broken/break beats with minimalistic rhythms to create a unique and immersive experience.

Uun's techno blends widescreen grayscale imagery with propulsive dancefloor pressure. Whether crafting what Hardwax dubs "straight ahead techno juggernauts" or deep, introspective tools, his work is grounded in a masterful command of atmosphere and texture. 

Uun developed his interest in fringe sounds as a guitarist and drummer in his hometown of Kansas City before shifting his attention to electronic music in 2012. This led him to relocate to Detroit, where he spent seven years pushing deeper into the underground techno scene, refining his production and performance methods. Between the Midwest and  several periods in Berlin—another city he's found a deep connection to—he's honed a style that's allowed his music to nimbly navigate between different subgenres, "quietly infiltrating" the genre from multiple angles at once. 

Uun's sound and his ability to mold it into a variety of forms has captured the attention of lauded techno labels like Mord, Semantica, and Soma. On his own Ego Death imprint, he pushes past genre confines and deeper into his music's underlying themes, exploring existentialism, duality, and the role of the artist in the modern era. His first full length, 2022's Derealization, interrogated dreams through rebuilding memories of liminal spaces, and on his latest Ego Death release, 2024's Platform Decay, he laces his tracks with a poignant criticism of social media-driven cultural homogenization while doubling down on his own uncompromising sound. 

As a live performer, Uun distills years of his studio practice into cathartic sets that build off his productions while pushing them into exploratory new territory. His live show has taken him to legendary clubs like Berlin's Tresor, Tbilisi's Khidi, Detroit's Movement Festival, and Brookyln's Basement, and alongside the decade-plus of releases under his belt, it's safe to say Uun's infiltration of techno might not be so quiet for much longer.
