The 303 acid rhythm of “Eyes Open” slithers through the smokey underworld, a measured and methodical killer that squeezes the listener tighter and tighter in its grasp

“Violator” goes full Rufige with broken side steps and gooned up stabs setting up speaker knocking thuds and miscreant B Boy atmosphere.

“Drain Clog” floats lunar hums and distant transmissions above stuttered rufige hardstep, as seething reeces slither into a coil around the beats, saturating the atmosphere in menace.

“Helion” sees clattering breaks, beastly knocks and cascading snares tumbling down into a machine gun tribal march, punctuating the sustained frigid dread.

DROOGS017 makes its return with a 12" courtesy of Quartz in the form of a razor-sharp two-tracker, showcasing his trademark precision and stripped-back engineering.

The A-side, “Duplicity,” is a masterclass in minimalism cold, skeletal, and immersive, driven by tight basslines and subtle rhythmic shifts. Quartz proves that less truly can hit harder.

On the flip, “Black Prism” a collaboration with Overlook dives into raw ’90s techstep territory. Choppy breaks and haunting stabs build relentless pressure before giving way to a surprisingly blissful finale.

Quartz continues to cement his reputation as one of drum & bass’s most distinctive modern voices.

‘Abscess’ rapidly paces through and switches between rapid fire breaks atop a constant sinister tone and full-bodied bottom end. On the flipside ‘Momentum’ mounts a thunderous rolling assault of breaks, bass and distorted groove providing apt response to Abscess’ call.

Two years on, and four tracks strong, ‘The Last Men’ EP delves into the darker caverns of modern jungle, tethering howling pad works to a sturdy hull of abrasive percussive rhythms.

Coarse high end peaks are trussed against bottom end vibrations which are fixated to the ground as three tracks are firmly rooted in the dance while a fourth track is the fallout at trip hop tempo.

It's been three years since founding UVB-76 member, Pessimist put out a Drum & Bass release. The last time you could find a 170 track by Jabs was back in 2017 for his critically acclaimed self-titled debut album released on Blackest Ever Black. So we present in 2019, the Burundanga EP for UVB-76, which has been destroying dance floors across the planet.

The Burundanga EP consists of three Drum & Bass cuts. Think Ruffhouse meets tribal shamanism, gutter breaks with amazonian field recordings and thick atmosphere, you'll feel like you've been spiked by some ritualistic witch doctor. Also included within the four track EP is the long awaited Paian remix by Downwards Records and CUB affiliate, Simon Shreeve aka Mønic & Kryptic Minds, taken from Jabs's debut EP for The Buzzer.
