MAFS had a few some things to say to y'all about this tremendous mix: 90 minutes rolled out in honour of Queen Elizabeth... Fairly battered after a street party this one came together pulling from the golden years. Some well worn plates and golden favourites blended on the 1210s in Hackney London.

MAFS mix features some absolute classics, one for the headz! 93-95 vibes, rolling easy from the start before dropping into some amen madness! Each tune is given time to breathe and is slickly blended into the next track! There are moments of brief respite throughout the mix, making the transition into those sharp amens more intense! Fantastic vibe and track selection on this mix!! MAFS smashes it!

A long relationship with Technics 1210s going back 30 years to 1991 and a record collection going back to 1986, Mafs is a veteran DJ and vinyl enthusiast. At home playing across the spectrum from early jungle to 2021 darkness. One part of the London based Launch collective crew who have been smashing up the scene for the past 13 years with some epic parties across the capital.

Blood Trust (Quinn Smith) is a new name in electronic music. Specialising primarily in UK club styles, Blood Trust has come to believe that the atmosphere a composition evokes can be more revealing and of greater interest than the specific genre it’s been assigned to. Drawing influence from No U Turn Records, Sandwell District, Renegade Hardware, Instra:mental, Skull Disco, and Pan Sonic, to name but a few, Blood Trust aims to make music with a narrative thread, rather than simply producing stand-alone club “tracks.”

There's nothing I enjoy more than digging through racks and picking out records I haven't played  for ages, in some cases 10+ years.

The Expedit:ions mix series is an excuse for me to dig around in the Ikea expedit units and record a few mixes for my own listening pleasure. I hope you enjoy.

For volume 1, I've gone for Rohan's now seminal Bassbin Records. 
Arguably the label that helped put a certain @Breakage on the map, between 2000 and 2007 Bassbin released a series of records that all primarily focussed on the essence of drum and bass;  oldskool breaks and deep sub bass, often with reggae / dub overtones.

Unfortunately, around 2007, label boss Rohan relocated from Ireland and left Bassbin behind him.
