Meet Downtown Dion https://www.instagram.com/downtowndion/ who has just released his latest project, Love Might Be Real last Friday. He was Born and raised in New York City Baruch Houses well known for it's location in the Lower Eastside of Manhattan, now obliquely coined by its tenants as DOWNTOWN. Dion grew up listening to many different genres of music serving as the soundtrack to his early athletic abilities in Basketball - his skills with the rock affording him more opportunities than most considering where he’s from.

In 2015 Dion explored his other talents, he started to write music and perfect his craft. After his passion for music eventually eclipsed his love for The Game. Dion decided to educated himself in a new and quickly gained the attention of New York legendary producer, Harry Fraud. As a member of the SRFSCHL family under super-producer Harry Fraud, Dion has created a unique sound some compare to Max B, Ja Rule, and Future pushing his gruff voice to it’s vocal limits and experimenting in the booth. 

"Working with Fraud was super influential” once said by an inspiring Dion. 

He used this opportunity to learn a lot of the music industry eventually leading to Dion recently stepped out on his own releasing "River" under his own label in partnership with TuneCore, Red Benches Enterprises Inc executed by DJ/Producer/A&R Dell Harris. River has received 100k+ plays on AppleMusic since it’s recent release 12 weeks ago, providing a solid momentum for his forth coming album MLR which dropped March 3rd. Supported by Ebro on AppleMusic Discovered on AppleMusic.

With all that being said Dion is in the budding phase in his career. This project was dropped completely independent with no ads, playlist, or influencer campaigns. This was all done off of preparation, some luck, and the music. I believe Dion is ideal for your feature, simply said he is one of the brightest emerging voices coming from America’s Music Capitol - NYC. 

I think it’s also worth noting, Dion intentionally decided to take the temperature down some with an R&B influenced project. He felt a responsibility to spread light in a city that is going through some  heavy times with police brutality, gang activity, and senseless violence to shed hope that “Love Might Be Real”.
