A selection of tracks from Giancarlo Gazzani released between 1971 and 1974 including "Paranoia" and "Puro amore" from Costanza Records' Musica per commenti sonori (1971) (CO 10006); "Underdrama" from Musica per commenti sonori (1971) (CO 10007); " and "Running Fast," "Being Friendly," and "Having Fun" from Feelings (1974) on Carosello Records, which also features composers Sandro Brugnolini, Puccio Roelens, and Stefano Torossi. Brugnolini and Torossi also appear on all three tracks from the withdrawn 1974 album.

An online audio sampler covering 1973 to 1975 that includes three tracks with Sandro Brugnolini, Giancarlo Gazzani, and Puccio Roelens from their 1974 Feelings LP first issued by Carosello Records and last reissued in 2016 by Schema, five tracks from Gazzani's withdrawn Musica per commenti sonori LP from around 1974 featuring Brugnolini and Torossi, three  from Paolo Ormi's Tastiere LP on Jubal featuring Brugnolini and Torossi, a pair with Amedeo Tommasi using Torossi's Farlocco alias from Tecnologia, the 1974 Rotary Records LP reissued in 2016 by Intervallo, an excerpt from Progresso on Flirt Records again using Farlocco, and an excerpt from Stati d'animo also on Flirt from around 1975.

Seriously wicked and really hard to find in its original edition, this superb sound Library brings the mark of the great, eclectic maestro Alessandro Alessandroni. The songs on this LP were originally composed for the broadcast of eight episodes made by RAI italian TV called “OPEN WINDOW". Many mid '70s Jazz-Funk/Scat themes full of samples, breaks and Funky tunes. Merged in this record you'll find heavy Funk-Drama tracks devoted to 1970s Poliziottesco's grooves interfering with slow Lounge Funk arrangements feat. sweet Scat vocals. Great brass, a sure winner! Originally issued on Limited Edition serie for collectors, this gem has been repressed on HQ 180gr. vinyl with improved sound quality for the joy of audiophiles. Edition of 500 copies.

A really must-have for any Soundtrack/Break DJ vinyl collector. This is Silvano Chimenti/Romano Rizzati (alias Walter Rizzati) I GRES Vol.1, a sought-after monster Funky Breaks Library famous the track "Restless" made famous by DJ Leacy, and containing other dope Breaks and beats. A really great Funk Library gem and absolutely Rare as at the time these sonor releases were made on limited pressings only and not sold to the public. Vol.1 of 3, this is surely the best I GRES of the serie. Laminated front cover, Killer!

Music composed and performed by Paolo Ormi with the use of percussions, Eminent, synthesizer, organ, bass. Interesting music Library crossing Electronic sounds with a powerful bassline and a percussive tapestry.  In a few words a very nice LP featuring tracks mostly supported by hectic pace and constructed with good taste.

"Voo Doo" is a long percussion and drum solo, "Guai ai Vinti" from complex sound development with an exciting use of drums, bass and keyboards. At the end  "Interazione", maybe the best track on the album, featuring beautiful organ spontaneous improvisations, remarkable drumming prowess, nervous bass, synthesizer at a fast pace in a frenetic sound run.

Easy Listening cinematic Library on collectors sought-after Costanza Records Library label. Not easy to find and almost unknown, this LP contains Soundtrack classical themes with 2 tracks in particular very nice. Track A5 "PARANOIA"  is a classic cinematic suspance/tension theme in dark avant-garde vein, while track B6 "PURO AMORE" it's a faboulus Easy-Listening romantic theme.


Giancarlo Gazzani - MUSICA PER COMMENTI SONORI Costanza Records 10006

The niche occupied by libraries in the history of Italian music is full of amazing stories, such as Rotary Records’ one – actually one of the most interesting and peculiar. The label, created and led by renewed composer Amedeo Tommasi, released seven albums in just one year – between 1973 and 1974 – of material ranging from futuristic experimentations to classic and jazz (the latter being one of the biggest passions of Tommasi).

He wasn’t just the boss, but also played piano and electronic instruments in all the records he released; he then took care of all the brilliant artworks (the original ones can be easily found online) and of pressing duties.

The first three volumes of the series were released in 300 copies each, the other four in a humble press of 100 each: numbers that show how rare these records are nowadays, and how scarce their circulation was at the time.

Tecnologia by Farlocco (an alias of the great Stefano Torossi, meaning “fake” in italian) is the second of the two Intervallo reissues dedicated to Rotary’s experimental vein. This album is one of the first instances of electronic libraries: a perfect example of how, sometimes, Italian libraries were a stunningly fertile ground for experimentation and foretaste of future sounds.

It’s not a blasphemy to say that the three versions of Superpotenza, opening the album, are techno tracks before techno was even born. Or that the heavy mood of Silicosi (in two different versions) Geosonda and Pressione are prehistoric examples of industrial music. But there are, also, the experimentations of Lavoro Veloce (once again in two – very different – versions) with its pure sonic sci-fi and the electro glitch of Virus and Biodegenerazione. Probably the future was not what we meant it to be, but a part of it can be found in the grooves of this album!
