A true techno stalwart that has been smashing sound systems around the world on three decks. Words like "uncompromising" get tossed around a lot when talking about music, but Patrick DSP is the real deal. No matter the current techno trends, his style has remained energetic, raw, and powerful throughout the years. Standing in front of a sound system while he works the decks is like standing in front of a moving train: it might hurt a little, but you won't forget it. From his DJing to his production, there is a raw drive to the music and the man behind it that never stops.

Patrick started spinning records at underground raves in Canada in 1996 and quickly found himself making the music that had drawn him to DJing. Music production was a window into sonic exploration and new music technologies that led him to create everything from film scores to his signature pounding techno sounds. As he honed his skills, he also took time out to teach others how to make music, giving advice and teaching classes on music production.

His extensive discography includes releases on seminal labels like Glenn Wilson's Heroes, Dave the Drummer's Hydraulix, DJ T-1000's Pure Sonik, DJ Rush's Kne' Deep, and the legendary Djax-Up Beats. His production style is inspired by his DJing: tight and thumping with a high level of energy and drive. Working with so many techno greats led him to many collaborations as well, including a collaboration with Miss Djax on the stellar "Techno Crusaders" album.

After relocating to Berlin, Patrick parlayed his hard work and dedication to his craft into mastering music for other artists, eventually opening Neptune Mastering in Berlin. As an engineer with an intimate knowledge of dance music sound systems and culture, he understands how critical it is to make a record hit hard on a dance floor.

With those kinds of bona fides, it is no surprise that he has DJed so many legendary events worldwide, spanning massive festivals like Germany's famous Love Parade, Amsterdam Dance Event, MayDay, and Awakenings, to clubs like Madrid's Fabrik, and Tresor Berlin.

Whether as a DJ, producer, engineer, or just a guy who loves techno, Patrick DSP has dedicated his time and energy to techno. He's stayed true to the sound he loves the most, and whether you're listening to a record he's made or having your hair blasted back by one of his blistering DJ sets, you know he's not holding anything back. It's full-on, it's charging, and it's real.

We are over the moon to finally guest our old friend and legend Chris Liberator on our podcast series. Chris needs little introduction really. At part from being one of the most skilled vinyl DJs around and excellent producer with tons of great releases on cult labels, included our sister label Polymeric, he is also a great multi-instrumentalist, having played in several punk bands in his heydays, and still doing so today! At part from this, he is one of the best persons in the scene, with his anti-establishment attitude, and down to earth friendly approach. Chris started djing back in 1991 playing his first ever party in a squat in North London (organised with the fledgling Liberator crew featuring himself, Julian and Aaron). Liberator soon made a name for themselves putting on parties in and around North East London in squats and underground venues, and it wasn’t long before they began hooking up with other crews doing similar stuff including Bedlam, Full On, Zero Gravity and Megadog who they all played regularly for with their firebrand mix of Acid, hard Techno and Rave. Getting involved with the illegal raves kicking off in the UK at the time (including Lechlade and Castle Morton) via their numerous traveller connections saw them hook up with crews out in Europe from Prague and Holland and they began travelling internationally as well. In 1993 they began their label Stay Up Forever to represent their own unique style, and as it progressed and they met more producers like DDR, D.A.V.E. The Drummer, Gizelle, Geezer and Lawrie Immersion, the sound of London Techno and Acid Techno as we know it was born.

Chris went on to start the SUF Collective (which he runs with Aaron Liberator) and began DJing across the world including places as far flung as Brazil, Venezuela, Japan, South Africa and Australia, and his name quickly became synonymous with the sound of the London Techno he represented. Meanwhile he continued to support his roots playing thousands of squat parties and underground raves in London, UK and Europe, keeping it firmly ‘real’ despite making DJ mag’s top 100 dj list on several occasions and producing some of the era’s most popular Acd Techno mix cds.

L'ascension continue du DJ/producteur techno écossais primé.
Stevie Wilson se développe dans des proportions épiques.
Depuis qu'il a commencé à produire de la musique techno seulement en mai 2011, ses morceaux ont été bien accueillis dans la communauté techno et ont obtenu un soutien massif de Dj's du monde entier.
Dans ce court laps de temps, il a également remporté le prix du meilleur producteur de techno écossais 2012 à l'E.M.M.A.S, ce qui a permis à son nom de se démarquer parmi les autres et de montrer à tout le monde qu'il est sérieux.

La passion de Stevie pour la musique a commencé dès son plus jeune âge. Depuis l'époque où il achetait et échangeait de la musique avec des amis à l'école, il était clair pour lui qu'il devait passer à l'étape suivante et obtenir son premier jeu de platines.
Depuis lors, Stevie n'a jamais regardé en arrière et repousse toujours les limites avec ses capacités musicales et techniques, depuis qu'il se produit dans des clubs faisant vibrer les pistes de danse avec ses rythmes énergiques à la musique qu'il produit dans laquelle, il mélange toutes sortes de sons différents...

Des sons industriels profonds et sombres, à tordus, sur des grooves percutants qui sont garantis pour faire bouger n'importe quelle foule sur la piste de danse.

Ses principales influences des premiers jours étaient des gens comme...

Carl Cox, Laurent Garnier, Bass Generator, Mikey B, Easygroove, Technotrance et fondamentalement, toute l'ère de la techno hardcore / breakbeat.

De nos jours, ses influences sont des gens comme...

Len Faki, A.Paul, The Advent & Industrialyzer, Dave Clarke, Eddie Halliwell, Chris Liebing, Monoloc, Pfirter, Alan Fitzpatrick, Gary Beck, et bien d'autres.

Ce qui est étonnant, c'est qu'il doit jouer aux côtés de certains de ces gars qui l'inspirent tant,
Tels que A.Paul, Eddie Halliwell, Alan Fitzpatrick, Valentino Kanzyani, Judge Jules, Hernan Cattaneo, Hans Bouffmyhre, Randy Katana, Dj Misjah et bien d'autres.
Et il a également joué en dehors du Royaume-Uni en Allemagne, en Autriche, au Portugal, en Irlande et en Espagne

Stevie a joué dans toutes les meilleures salles d'Écosse telles que The Arches, Room At The Top, The Soundhaus, Ivory Blacks, The Metro, Club 69, Liquid Rooms et c'est pour n'en nommer que quelques-unes...
