THE NEW YEAR was formed in the summer of 1999, has released three albums on Touch and Go Records - Newness Ends, in February 2001, The End is Near, in May 2004, and the most recent self-titled album The New Year in September 2008 - and has toured North America, U.K. and Europe.

The band was formed by Matt and Bubba Kadane, the founding members of BEDHEAD.

Ólafur Arnalds is a BAFTA-winning multi-instrumentalist and producer from Mosfellsbær, Iceland. Ólafur Arnalds mixes strings and piano with loops and beats crossing over from ambient/electronic to pop.

Birds Fly to the Moon plays an instrumental, atmospheric rock music since 2008.

The duo Hugar consists of Bergur Þórisson & Pétur Jónsson. Both have been creating music of all kinds in their native Iceland since toddlers. Few years ago they sat down, put their minds together and decided to pursue some new, fresh avenues where they could flex their creative muscles (Hugar means "Minds" in Icelandic). 

Their self-titled debut album was released in 2014, containing some ethereal pieces of instrumental music. Two songs from that album got playlisted on the ‘Peaceful Piano’ Spotify Playlist (followed by 2 million users). Hugar are in good company on said playlist (Aphex Twin, Yann Tiersen, Ólafur Arnalds, Alicia Keys among others) and the tracks have now gathered millions of plays.

Hugar is now Bergur's and Pétur's top priority, even if they have extracurricular activities on the sideline. Pétur is finishing his architecture degree and Bergur supervised the BAFTA Award winning score to Broadchurch by Ólafur Arnalds.
