we shot the heaviest video i directed and cut, so peep that..

i had this idea at the end of 2016, me and sonny skrill were thinking about writing around it but did not pick it up again and then he told me about the howsla release and how its gonna be about just dope rough cut records. 

i felt if I'm gonna be on a house based ep i want something totally different from my shit and the the others.. the moment we got darnell on this the record it got mean and twisted. i love it .. darnell is a g, serious vocalist and actor..

"Purgator" is the second part of Chuuwee’s five part "Dystopia" series.

Part one, "Paradiso", was released in earlier this year. The album focuses on the ideology of what paradise is or means to us as people, while explain the purpose of existence from an existentialist perspective.

"Purgator" takes a darkened turn for the worse, displaying a showcase of manic depressive and self-conscious viewpoints of one’s own success and outlook toward in a nihilistic view point of the age of question that everyone has been asking, why am I alive?

The 14 track album include guest features by Rothstein, Roc$tedy, Looselyric, dahLak and production by Ac3 Beats, Calev, EsVybe, Money Montage and more.

Chuuwee, who is in his mid-20’s, already has a discography of over twenty albums and mixtapes to his name. Raised in Sacramento CA, the "South Sac Mack" had the benefit of a home studio as a child as his Mother was studying music production. In his teens Chuuwee was already destroying local poetry slams with his rhymes.

i spent the last 6 months or so working on this new project. it started when i made the instrumental for the intro track, Long Way Home. that's when I got an idea for the whole album and I started to work on it with the help of some of my fellow musicians, most of them from Chicago.  

i feel like there's a lot of talent in local and underground musicians that doesn't get enough appreciation. I also feel like producers in general don't get enough appreciation. with this project I wanted to put production and local musicians in the spotlight.  all the artists featured on this project are amazing musicians that deserve some love.  special thanks to everyone that helped me bring Safe Travels to life!
