We are in a new era, a time that many say has come to connect with the sacred feminine energy and sow the seed of healing to the wounded masculine energies. It is time to reconnect with the mother energy and ancestral wisdom, leave our fears behind and wake up all together.

In "Cantos a la Madre" (Chants to the Mother) each artist presents a vision of the concept of "mother" in their own "chant", forming a multilingual compilation that investigates the development of a new electronic music in harmony with the lyrical tradition of different cultures. It includes songs in native languages of South America such as Quechua and more unusual musical experiments in German, Ukrainian, Hebrew, as well as many in Spanish, English and more. 

With a large femenine presence plus the invitation to work in a mixed way between women and men, the album is an attempt to take electronic music one step further, rescuing the use of the human voice and, as well, reflecting on this broad and wonderful concept of ¨the mother¨, a concept that is transversal to all living beings on this planet.

All donations on bandcamp will go directly to the artists, heavily affected by the closure of all live shows for a long time. We invite the public to listen and collaborate with this project with the intention that any help, whether in donations or simply by sharing this album (that’s free!), is in itself a little but important seed for the rebirth of this art and part of its community.
We hope you enjoy this release with a flavor of folktronica, downtempo, house and experimental, created with endless love as a musical jewel to delight not only the ears, but also the heart and soul.

Some of us even ask themselves, if the planet can sustain such a huge population of humans. And the answer is „yes“, if we treat those life-spending elements with respect and dignity. We need to use all of our knowledge and skills. And we should not hesitate nor trivialize our sins for short term profits. We owe it to our children and to life itself.

TOSODA Projekt was founded in 2017 by Tamás Kácser - guitar (Toma=TO), Patrik Szombathelyi - handpan (SO) y Áron Dankowsky - cajon (DA). They got the break trough by the Szimpla Music contest (Lemming Program) in May 2018. Since that time they have played at several festivals (Mediawave, Everness, Journey to Tarab, Ozora, Babel Sound, HUG- Hungarian Handpan & Worldmusic Gathering) and concerts in different countries (Austria, Alemaña, Polonia, Rumania, Serbia, España).

"Yohana" is a journey into the shadows of the jungle. The sound of these songs are heavily influenced from my first experience with Abuela Aya, where she came to me, in my mind and body, in the form of a serpent. She spoke to me, showed me her power, her essence, I felt her movement and heard her sound, and I connected deeply with her spirit. I saw the shadow world that exists parallel to our reality everywhere, I learned that the energy of the shadows cannot be defined as good or bad but have their own unique power and influence on us.
