Ledj Leo gathers Kinet Band in 2015 after establishing once again in Ethiopia, young and talented Ethiopian musicians with whom he performs weekly in a Club in Addis Ababa, but also work on production. looking for a new sound they cross over Reggae with R'nB Soul Funk and Ethiopian Standards. The band is simply made of 4 members including Base, Drums, Keys(Rhodes), and LL lead vocal and Spanish guitar. Simplicity is beauty!

Isabella Armina , affectionately known  as Izzy or Izzy de la Baby on the mic, is making waves in the music industry with her unique blend of creativity and talent. Born and raised in the vibrant city of Philly, Isabella was immersed in a rich tapestry of artistic influences  from an early age. Coming from a heavily artistic Armenian household, creativity ran deep in her veins. It was only natural that she would find herself drawn to the world of entertainment

My interest in music started very early on when I used to attend rehearsals of my uncle and aunt's band, the Sevan Band. Been dancing since I was 2 years old. Enjoyed singing in the school choir and also took classical piano lessons as a hobby. In high school started choreographing for dance shows, Latin, hip hop, and more contemporary styles both for group and solo routines. 
Attended University of British Columbia in Vancouver Canada had the chance to join the UBC Dance Club where I was trained professionally as an International Style Latin American ballroom dancer. Started salsa dancing socially in Canada also. 2005 moved back to Ethiopia and started teaching salsa classes, continued show dancing, as well as teaching Latin American Ballroom dancing around town, co-creator of the Salsegnochu Dance Group and danced with and choreographed for the group for 3 years.

August of 2010 started working in music full time. Started performing with the band Z Beyaynetus with Bitik Emlaelu's encouragement. I have just finished my album with Kenny Allen,  performer and producer from DC currently in Ethiopia. 
I currently am a performance artist/vocalist with Z Beyaynetus Band, the 251 band and Eshee Havana (salsa band) and Zemen Band.
I have worked with Zeritu Kebede with Zemen Band and the Nubian Arc (both very well known and established musical groups in Ethiopia) and currently work with Tsedenya Gebremarkos.

Eshee Havana is a unique group of Ethiopian and locally based international musicians who are combining their talents and experience to pioneer Ethio-Salsa, a new and ground-breaking hybrid sound which fuses Ethiopian and Latin music.

Eshee Havana’s authentic sound is a direct outgrowth of Tim Dodd’s (founder and band leader) long-standing passion for Latin music, followed by his discovery of, and experience with, Ethiopian music. Having created and led the popular salsa / latin-jazz band Balangandan in London for over ten years, and studying with legendary Latin percussionists such as Giovanni Hidalgo, Orlando Poleo, “Changuito” and Tata Guines, Tim moved to Ethiopia in 2005.
After several years of immersion in Ethiopian music - playing with popular national singers including Aster Aweke, Mahmoud Ahmed, and Teddy Afro - Tim received a call from the talented and experienced Ethiopian drummer Teferi Assefa, encouraging him to fulfill his long endeavour to establish a Latin band in Addis Ababa and promising his support. This led to the creation of Eshee Havana.

The band premiered in June 2010, at the first Acacia Jazz Festival introducing Ethiopians to popular Cuban songs such as 'Pa’ Gozar' and 'Ran Kan Kan', with lyrical translations into Amharic.
The group then grew in strength, adding Ethiopian bass man Joe Mengiste and equipping itself with a powerful horns section (Edi Stevens, Feleke Hailu & Wolfgang Zebe) and female vocalist - Bitik Emlaelu. The new line-up’s second appearance at the Acacia Jazz Festival in March 2011 was enthusiastically received, and the group’s popularity continued to grow - with the later additions of guitar (Markku Keski-Maenpaa), alto saxophone (Dr. Jonovan Cooper) and male vocalist {Vahe Tilbian). 

Eshee Havana have established themselves as a leading local band, performing regularly in various venues and turning heads to their distinctive repertoire of Ethio-Salsa, as well as exposing the Addis Ababa community to the new genre’s roots in salsa, merengue and latin-jazz. The band has become an integral part of the vibrant Ethiopian jazz scene, whilst their commitment to musical innovation has placed them at the forefront of progressive music in the country.

Eshee Havana’s goals are firstly to combine the power and passion of salsa with the alluring, mystical sound of the classic Ethiopian songs through their new and exciting genre of Ethio-Salsa, and secondly, to introduce this innovative fusion to as large a cross-section of people as possible, both locally in Ethiopia and to the international music community.
