A fun swing tune I composed while messin' with some boogie woogie bass lines on the keys. This track was recorded with my Validation Band years ago.
Actually inspired during a walk in the rain over the 59th Street Bridge. The sound of the rain against the metal and the cars whizzing by over loose planks set up the rhythmic flow and.... dere ya go!

God Invented The Blues

Growing up in Queens, NY, Val was the only
girl in a family of four boys.  At 15, she joined an all girl rock
band, The Sirens, playing at colleges
and local venues, while studying jazz piano, and performing in theater productions.
After studying acting, she
enrolled at Berklee College of Music as a piano major.
She later attended Queens
College, majoring in music and minoring in theater. During that time, Val joined the Technical Virgins playing NYC venues such as CBGB'S alongside The Bad Brains, Marilyn and The Movie Stars, ISM and The Sick fucks from the Lower East Side of Manhattan. Exploring every imaginable
music scene, from punk, hard rock,
metal, spoken word, glam, blues, and soul, 
Val's fronted the bands, ICU, Blue Lagoon, Technical Virgins, Vallyrie's Vendetta, Validation, Val Kinzler Band and has been mentored by Sid Bernstein, Dr. John, Popa Chubby. Larry Russell, and Genya Raven.
In 1998 Val's song, “Love Won't Break”, placed in the Pop category of the John Lennon Songwriting Contest. In 1999, Val was awarded with a Martin Guitars Scholarship via “Women In Music."
In 2013, Val won the Recording Artist Development (RAD) - Singer Songwriter Contest. With producer Philip Carroll, Val wrote and co/produced various songs in support of transgender rights/awareness and coached up and coming talent. Throughout her life, Val has taught music and created special events involving women in music. She is the founder and talent booker for #NYCWomenWhoRock
Out of this women's empowerment concert series, Val organized and fronted the all female bands Moon Goddess and Chix N' Axe.
Her latest CD titled, “Nothing Sacred About Hatred”, is the culmination of years of songwriting.
In her lyrics, Val shares a lifetime of joy, pain, love, and loss.
