I WANT MORE (1990's Pop Version)

This track starts with a sample of the local village church bell, which I recorded for use in the soundtrack of a cartoon film that celebrated 900 years of village history.

I also recorded a full peal of the bells, but it was marred by high-revving motorcycles at the nearby crossroads. The full peal was intended to celebrate an important historical village wedding. The sample could not be used in a scene that was set before the internal combustion engine was invented!

The cartoon project is now defunct but this track attempts to assert joy, peace and tranquility in defiance of the modern noise of the crossroads. That was definitely a recurring theme of the film; village propaganda, really!

In my imagination, for musical purposes, the church is transformed into a tiny chapel in the woods.

But we can also do so much harm with our hands, we can hit, break, hold a gun to kill someone wave a fist in Anger. My hands are used to Love and play my Guitar. What are your hands used for ?

The Eclectic Collective -- composition
 
This song started with JJ during one of his late Saturday night composition sessions, where he came up with the idea on his synth. He laid down some great organ and electric piano for the rest of us to play with. Ken was first up with his lively, raucous drums. He and Josh did their back and forth with the rhythm section until it was solid, though. Then Stephen laid in his dirty, rawkin' rhythm guitar to give it an extra foundation. Finally, Tez put the icing on the cake with his monster soloing throughout. 


  Of course, every great song needs a great producer. In this case, Tez did the honors in a very expert manner. We wanted Stephen (Texmex Shaman) on this, too, of course, but he is just now getting settled into his new abode, and was in flux while we were making this one. He'll be back with The Eclectic Collective next week, though. 
  This is an example of Eclectic Collective 

teamwork. It came together relatively quickly, which means we were all having fun doing it. We hope you enjoy listening to it as much as we enjoyed creating it.

This is another track for the Children of Memory project. The Witch isn't really a witch... it's Avrana Kern, the ancient god-like fusion of AI and human. But, to Liff, she's a witch. 
All guitar parts were played on a Deusenberg Paloma.
