With an insatiable passion for music which knows no bounds, Cid is a true connoisseur of sound, an exceptional selector, an innovative producer (half of "Over the top Orchester (O.T.T.O), Aufgang B, 700WET, C.Z or solo on Teerpappe) and the founder of Moonwalk X Records. His label stands as a testament to his unwavering dedication to pushing the boundaries of music, providing a platform for artists to express themselves freely and authentically. With his latest release on ''Eine Welt'' as 700WET he continues together with singer and performer Marja Christians to sculpt melodies, curate experiences, and leave an mark on the musical underground landscape. Two of us were lucky to catch one of their alluring performances this summer. Albrecht La'Brooy - Improvisation In C

French trio J-Zbel keeps it low key. The unknown collective from Lyon has released exclusively on Brothers From Different Mothers since 2015, and in May this year offered up a fantastic debut album. The oddly titled Dog's Fart Is So Bad The Cat Throws Up was an eclectic double 12” mash up of rave, hardcore, breakbeats, acid and techno that is full throttle and uncompromisingly high energy. With little else to go on but for their music, it’s fair to say J-Zbel enjoy the sweat and intensity of the dance floor and are not afraid to take musical cues from outlier scenes like trance and gabber. 

That lends their music a thrilling and unpredictable edge that also permeates this podcast: it’s 1 hour 40 minutes of tempo hopping, mood switching sounds that are have your hands pumping to rave one minute and your body skanking to some abstract future grime the next. It’s a refreshing and widescreen take on strobe lit styes that hits like a train.

Either in the middle of the day or in the middle of the night, Valesuchi distinctly translates the vast mixture of her timeless and fertile sonic research, embodied as a big list of questions that has grown at an unpredictable pace through her music production and DJ craft, since she was 15 years old.
With precision and purpose she stitches and improvises a message, looking to blend each crowd’s shadow, expansive aliveness and sometimes hidden sense of humour. By choosing people’s bodies as a limitless answer, Valesuchi rides the rhythm until there’s not much ice left to melt.
Never a lazy digger, the tools she has come from her background in Santiago’s risky
gatherings and from the lessons learnt at the uncomparable raves she’s played all over Brazil. She chose Rio de Janeiro as her homebase in 2017, a place where techno, groove, funk, desire and danger coexist.
