Fantasy for a Sleepless Night

Misty Morning Dream

Take a walk with your beloved in a cool misty evening. Light enough to see the colors of the leaves on the autumn trees. As you walk through the park, new vistas unfold before your eyes — oranges, and reds quivering on boughs, greens and gray in the distance barely distinguishable shapes. 

You hold your partner by the hand, feeing the warmth of her skin, the pounding of her heart in her veins. There is a magic in the strange moment, the misty shrouded park, the sundry strange colors of the trees and vegetation rising before your eyes. And you relish the strange, unique moment shared with the one you love,

The night perched upon electric cables,
Wrapped itself round street lamps and neon lights,
Sneaked silently into crimson districts 
of pale breasts and tattered souls.

Looking round into the corners of an avenue,
Caught glimpses of a jasmine-scented orchard,
Hid behind dank, discolored walls, where lizards 
vanished into dark, molecular Spaces.

And while you sit inside your room,
The tides of time keep moving on.
Inside your pain, the minutes stretch away.
Get out and live before tour time is up.

A Song Of Troy
