I'll cut through the nonsense and offer a 3-minute song, canonical pop, based on an ancient formula from the birth of the genre. I'm deluding myself that it's in the vein of, say, Nick Lowe. I hope so.

""A Change Is Gonna Come" is a song by American singer-songwriter Sam Cooke. It initially appeared on Cooke's album Ain't That Good News, released mid-February 1964 by RCA Victor; a slightly edited version of the recording was released as a single on December 22, 1964. Produced by Hugo & Luigi and arranged and conducted by René Hall, the song was the B-side to "Shake".

The song was inspired by various events in Cooke's life, most prominently when he and his entourage were turned away from a whites-only motel in Louisiana. Back to the present 😊... This is a quicky born from some serious emotion re connecting to my first band. The power of nostalgia is something else. The power of nostalgia wrapped in music for me is one of the most giant forces in the universe. We gotta use it to teach in my pea head opinion. How music helps us wire our brains is just different to everything else and I strongly believe the only reason it's not in schools yet more deeply is because we just haven't done that yet... Let's make it so! It literally can be a time machine for knowledge if we design it to be that!
