Charismatic Frenchman Damien N-Drix makes his Debut on Gregori Klosman’s Guru imprint, delivering his singular, energy-fuelled vision with the wonderfully offbeat monster, “Do It.” Taking Electro into colder, darker and more mechanical territory, the track is a perfect snapshot of Guru’s constant desire to drive the genre forward into places it’s never been before.

The Marseille producer rides a raw and highly distinctive sound with “Do It.” After a tense opening consisting of strange FX, sparse mechanical sounds and a gradually evolving build, the tune spills over into a frenzied attack of jangling, hollow synths that crash and fire with the intensity of a warehouse factory. The catch vocals, which chant like a clubbers’ mantra, add a kind of hypnotism that wraps around the listener before unraveling in the fierce, driving soundscape that comes to the fore of this no-nonsense club hit.
