Joey Bakes was born in July 1993, in Roosevelt, New York . His father being an avid music lover and music creator was one of the many inspirations of young Bakes, along with most of the 90's era rappers whos conscious levels and styles of music dominated that time period.
Whether it was sciences or the fate of the Gods Bakes became a early musician starting off playing the trumpet in middle school along with writing solid bars to spit for his friends at the lunch table and in the courtyard. in highschool Joey ditched the trumpet to further develop his word play and rhyme scheme taking classes such as Advanced Placement English, creative writing, speech, and theater. Along with those classes he also took Music theory to better understand written music With Numerous influences both inside and outside the music industry joey bakes has created a independent sound that will capture the minds of true hip hop heads and repossess the theory that true hip hop is lost....
