Lately, I've enjoyed playing music at home a lot, and I decided to share one of those moments. It's a bit more intense than my usual stuff, but this was what I was feeling at that moment. A deep desire to dance really hard.

Today's mix in our 'delayed x mostra' collaboration is a live recording from one of our ultimate favorites, Estrato Aurora, who joined forces with flamenco artist Ana Sola to create quite a unique symbiosis. 
The live performance of Estrato Aurora and Ana Sola at the extraMostra party in Barcelona was a stunning display of the seamless fusion of two seemingly distinct genres. As the deep techno beats unfolded, Ana Sola's soulful voice cut through the electronic soundscape with raw power and emotion. The duo's ability to bridge the gap between electronic music and traditional flamenco is impressive.
The combination of Estrato Aurora's deep techno production and Sola's passionate flamenco singing created a unique experience, showcasing the power of music to transcend genre and cultural boundaries. 

The crew behind MOSTRA has held 23 ExtraMostra events in venues and clubs of all sizes in Barcelona, as well as public facilities and other cities in Spain, such as Madrid, Valencia, and Seville. We have been abroad to London, Berlin, Porto, and Amsterdam.

- Why? Because MOSTRA wants to: 

1) To program local artists that sometimes have a hard time getting into the circuit of commercial venues and big festivals 
2) To collaborate with labels and collectives with which we feel identified or have a similar style to ours 
3) To bring artists that we really like from abroad and that usually don't come to Barcelona 
4) To bring artists from Barcelona to play abroad, Massa or Imox, for example.

Let'z roll back 2 tha year of 1988'. A lot was going on in House Music, especially out of Chicago's Acid House & Detroit finding a proper name for their interpretation of house, Detroit Techno.
Things are in full swing & the DJ becomes more than just a DJ hitting all partz of tha globe spreading this thing called House/Techno/Acid House/etc.
Big up'z 2 groups like Phuture for creating this Acid House sound... Everything from there pretty much erupted & DJ'z in the 3 big citiez... Chicago,Detroit & NYC started incorpirating these soundz in their mixshowz on tha radio. As you hear my brother Derrick May beating it right here back in 1988 on Detroit'z radio WJLB.
So I'll leave it here & let you soak it in.

The enigmatic Myles Sergé is a low flying techno producer, hard working label head and old school DJ, however he prefers the term 'reclusive perfectionist'. Originally from Grand Rapids, Michigan, Myles experienced a temporary sojourn to the beachside of the the UK's Brighton before relocating to Berlin. In some respects the American's music bypasses the melodic classicalism of Detroit for a stripped-back European take on techno, though the mettlesome machine- funk of his raw style, and rough and ready prowess behind the decks, is never too far from the outer-regions of the US' motorcity he calls home.

As a regular guest at Tresor, with no stranger to bookings at Berlin's Berghain, Griessmuehle and ://about blank, to his residency at Steevio's Freerotation festival in Wales, Myles is a shining example of how one can traverse the European-American transatlantic divide. With a belt of labels under his control - (MS), Re-Form, Dosed and Space - Myles has since moved on to count the likes of NYC's Thema, The Zenker Brother's Ilian Tape and Dan Curtin's Metamorphic imprints as home for his music. Never one to boast, Myles Sergé Clark's revised approach to the warehouse techno of his recent mixes and DJ sets keeps the quality underground.

Antigone is a key player on the Parisian scene who has helped to bring techno back into focus. He did it with his residency at Concrete, but also his releases on labels like Token, Dement3d and Soma. Whether raw and rugged, melancholic and melodic or more tracery and big room in style, he has an always interesting and complex style that stands him out from the pack. 

In the DJ booth he is focussed on detail and texture and shows that here: after a subtle atmospheric start that sinks you into deep, cavernous rhythms, the ride grows much more ragged. Jittering electro, astral techno and supple breakbeats all get carefully threaded together into a tight but adventurous hour that exudes a real sense of style.

@Luke-Slater has been DJing since the late 1980s, and by the 90s, his many aliases had become household names thanks to important releases on labels like Peacefrog, and Nova Mute.
