Feed Me

Situé dans une représentation fictive de l'Islande médiévale, "Les Sagas de Windholm" de Erik Upper, est composé de quatre histoires qui imitent les éléments communs aux traditions culturelles et littéraires de l'Islande au Moyen Âge, principalement pensez à l'épopée Vikings, mais avec moins de raids et plus de douceur dans l'écriture. 
Cette approche musicale pourrait soutenir cette saga dans son ensemble et permettre de deviner les contours, de cette histoire plutôt fascinante ….

Set in a fictional representation of medieval Iceland, Erik Upper's “The Sagas of Windholm” consists of four stories that mimic elements common to Iceland's cultural and literary traditions in the Middle Ages, mainly reminiscent of Vikings epics, but with fewer raids and a gentler tone. 
This musical approach could support the saga as a whole and allow us to guess at the contours of this rather fascinating story ....

'The Green Room'  A room in TV studios for guests and artists etc to relax whislt waiting to be on set. Soft ambient music, playing in the background encouraging a calm atmosphere.  So this track is my memory of being in one of these rooms whilst waiting to play.

We all need to have a special place to get away from the stresses and strains of everyday life and we all have a special place that we go to to unwind. This song is about my Special place, a place in between time and Space. My favorite place is sitting in my room with my guitar and getting lost in the magic of the Music, it takes me to a place in between Time and Space a magical place where I can truly find myself. So when I need to find myself , I lose myself in my music in a special place between time and Space.

      Greeting Earthling and fellow humans! I hope everyone had a Holly Jolly Christmas and a very Happy Holiday this year This will be my final track and video for this very choatic year. I want to thank every one of my subscibers for their support and fantastic feedback and beautiful comments! They really touch my heart when I read them and I thank you all very much!🙏 Charlie and Anita thank you all very much as well! 
     This is going to be a strange song, it's a bit of a time-trip from where we were not too long ago to the madness of today!  There is a warning here for all of us to heed and we need to pay close attention to it because next year is going to be the tipping point!  The song is really 2 songs in one for my grand finale of 2025. The first part is a cover of a great song written by Lil Willis & Louis Brown in 1963 for the Jerry Lewis movie "The Nutty Professor" (Another of my favorite films!). Jerry sings it at the piano when he's turned into Buddy Love. That's the world we left back in the 60's. Charlie and I recorded it back in 2006, it's not a good recording and I remixd it as best I could, Charlie's voice was too low and my piano playing was so-so at best!

     The second part of the song is my cautionary tale and an instrumental, I had lyrics for this song but I discarded them long ago! I remixed it and re-edited the song, cut out about 2 minutes from it, and attached it on to the end of the"We've Got A World That Swings" song. I renamed the piece "Antichrist Intelligence (A.I.)" because we are on the verge of being taken over by these evil corporations and their greed and want of power and money will eventually destroy us. Maybe I'm over-reacting or just going senile and being silly but this is what I believe now! These greedy, selfish, and evil people will wind up destroying us sooner or later and it's looking like sooner and sooner! I really hope I'm wrong about all of this but the warning signs are all over the place "BEWARE OF A.I." it is NOT here to help us, it's here to take over and control us!! So my portion of this song is the instrumental, I wrote it during the pandemic, probably around 2022, I can't recall. A.I. is NOT something holy, spiritual, or religious in any way, shape, or form. Hence the title I gave it! It might just be a test for humanity. Don't give in to the comfort of A.I., there will be a price to pay! 
     So I want everyone to listen to the song, or better yet WATCH THE VIDEO  about 5 minutes before the stroke of midnight on 12/31/2025 (New Year's Eve). There will be a countdown at the end of the song that should be perfect to ring in the new year! 2026 will be the year we humans fight back aginst The Empire I hope, this will be our "Revenge Of The Jedi" moment or it's Game Over for us, I'm afraid. Let's believe the scientist for a change and know that when everything is automated and nobody has a job, society will fail and we will all perish.  Love & Peace to all & may God Bless! 🙏❤️✌🏼

A Love Story Begins

VANCRYNES is the musical alter-ego of Angelo Saridis, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer from South Gippsland, Australia. His music spans the genre spectrum with roots in early punk and post punk and a solid grounding in 90s alternative rock, his music fuses these influences.

Exploring themes that are predominantly a shared introspective reflection, there is a happy sad dynamic and a nostalgic sensibility to all the songs.  'I'm trying to share what's anxiety provoking for adults...and show that none of us really have our shit together...but at times there's something beautiful about admitting our failings and insecurities'.

VANCRYNES is guitar driven, sweat soaked and authentic music that comes from the heart.

VANCRYNES is committed to capturing the immediacy of the songwriting process and moves quickly to capture songs as the moments of creation are fleeting 'I just want to get a general sense of the song recorded and move on to the next one.  If the songwriting is strong enough, then I hope it will carry through the more casual production approach.  My production is very loose'.  

Keeping it fresh and committed to the creative practice of songwriting, VANCRYNES sticks to a blistering regime of writing, producing and releasing with more than 100 songs completed in 2022 and that frenetic pace continues today.  'To quote the famous philosopher Lloyd Christmas...I can't stop once I've started....it stings'
