Whether it was at a rave, during a live stream or while listening to a Soundcloud mix, surely there has been a time when these familiar lyrics have been circling around your head on a constant loop… Of course, we’re talking about Gray’s Rubadub EP – easily one of Born On Road’s most loved releases! As good as the original tracks were, how about we give you some new versions?

We’re gassed to reveal everyone can finally get their hands on Gray’s Rubadub remix EP in November. Some of these dubs have been floating around as blurry clips on 174 and DNBiD for quite some time – especially the outrageous “Hard Trance VIP” of Rubadub that on many occasions has left ravers feeling baffled by the dancefloor switch up.

We’re not just treating you to a Rubadub VIP though. We’ve also got Alcemist remixing “Get To The Chopper”, L-Side flipping “Buss Riddim” and DJ Limited ripping up the script on “Blood” (Feat. Ragga Twins). We hope you’re ready for some carnage, because this EP is going to send some heads flying…

Bristol label regular Arclight is back with another EP. Bringing The Torch Bearer EP to the point of completion has been a really full on project.
Probably the highest number versions of any music project he have done. So many sketches and ideas that didn't make the EP, probably an album's worth!

Skankandbass is dedicated towards the official promotion of record labels and artists in the world of drum & bass music. Since inception in 2009, Skankandbass has unearthed some of the freshest talents in the scene and has opened many doors for unsigned artists. SNB067 comes to from Subdue, an exciting Liverpool based talent and brother of recent Skankandbass Introducing alumni Thread. We’re deep into the UK’s third national lockdown. We’re stuck at home, we’re bored of Zoom, and let’s face it –wouldn’t we all love a couple of Guinness’ down the pub right now? Unfortunately, Born on Road can’t pour you any drinks, but what we can do is give you two pints of something heavier and darker than any Guinness you’ve ever tasted - the long-awaited Born on Road dub, ‘Couple Guinness’.

Served up by label mainstay Selecta J-Man, ‘Couple Guinness’has been doing the rounds in our sets for over a year, but now it’s time to give everyone a proper taste of its full-bodied goodness. Fierce and ferocious, ‘Couple Guinness’is a continuation of the energetic sound Selecta J-Man has been honing since bursting on to the scene in 2016 with his debut Born on Road EP ‘Cease & Sekkle’. 

As a producer continually striving to fuse his reggae influences into drum and bass, Selecta J-Man teaming up with veteran Jamaican artist Suku was a combination destined for greatness. Renowned for his work with dancehall act Ward 21, Suku’s vocals are as feel good and refreshing as someone offering to buy you your second pint at the pub.

‘Couple Guinness’ may only be SelectaJ-Man’s first D&B release of 2021, but it follows on from the producer achieving great featsin 2020 with the release of his ‘My Style’EP on Born on Road, along with his label favourite link up with DJ Gaw on ‘Rum & Lime’ (Feat. A Little Sound].

We may not be able to share a drink together at a rave right now, but hopefully ‘Couple Guinness’ will give you a taste of what we can look forward to when the good times do return.
