London based record label Khoinix releases their first dark disco various compilation ''Tartarus''on January 1st 2022. 

The various artists compilation contains 15 tracks of dark disco & EBM from Alpha Sect, Arrosa, Attendances, CSK, Disco Morato, Disco Mortale, Facets, Gegen Mann, Ian Lapa, Itako, Ivan de la Rouch & Mike Sacchetti, K-Effect, Ruksby, Tulioxi and Ubre Blanca. 

In Greek mythology, Tartarus (Ancient Greek: Τάρταρος) is the deep abyss that is used as a dungeon of torment and suffering for the wicked.

For the labels first release of 2022, Idlestates have curated a blend of no-nonsense EBM with grittier industrial electronics. The 13 track VA compilation welcomes a host of new artists to the label whilst continuing to showcase returning favourites such as Meshes, Magnum Opus, and MVQX. The album titled ‘The Semiconscious System’, arrives with several dancefloor ready anthems whilst allowing a meltdown through intervals of raw industrial sludge.
The limited-edition cassette features; Gewalt, Autumns, Filmmaker, Disociacion, L/F/D/M, MVQX and Kirsten on side A. Whilst side B contains tracks from; Prophan, The Undertaker’s Tapes, Termination_800, Alpha Sect, Magnum Opus/Ravetop and Meshes.

Sand In My Eye

A song I composed live in one take, to honor the memory and passion of all those creative souls we lost this year. From my close friends I lost in Oakland's synth underground last week to legendary musicians; all will inspire generations forever to come with their sound and vision. I titled it Aisling Agam as it means A Dream(or Vision) in ancient Gaelic. The image is from the Kolmanskop Nambia Africa area of houses of sand.

In ten tracks across 60 minutes and two LPs, and featuring original artwork by Muzae Sesay, Butler presents a vision of an imagined future: "techno" in the truest sense, in its original sense. Wrought of hope and the spirit of resistance, The Home I'd Build For Myself And All My Friends recalls techno's emancipatory, Afro-futurist roots. Written in the aftermath of the Ghost Ship fire in Oakland in December 2016, the album is infused with an immediacy, a viscerality, unmatched by its contemporaries. 

Tempo and tenor vary throughout, making the record an engaging, dynamic listen. "Builder" is a slow burn, a roller for breaking hearts on the dancefloor. "No New Neighbors" is tense, upbeat, and sparse, built around a taut bassline. "These Seeds" runs slow, ideal for twisted afterparties. "Cure Water" is three minutes of unbridled passion, a beatless cosmic otherworld. The album finishes on a high note with its eponymously titled track: uptempo, intensely percussive, and almost overwhelmingly beautiful.
