Khuda k waste

This track is the result of my first ever remote jamming exercise through internet - carried out yesterday by my classmate Akhila and me :-)....Akhila has always been a source of inspiration when it comes to music ......She had recorded vocals sitting at her home in UK and sent that to me along with the harmony design....Based on that, I ve designed percussion and rhythm/bass/accompaniment overlay.........The central theme of this track is 'Gayatri Mantra' which is a sacred prayer spirals through the entire universe from the heart of the chanter, appealing for peace and divine wisdom for all.....

After Akhila introducing the 'mantra', the harmony shifts to 'middle-eastern' grove with scottish harp and native african percussion overlay interleaved with rhythmic 'tabla', which i have played & recorded in midnight, when there is no ambient noise to peep into my room....The theme thereafter shifts in to traditional Indian groove.....Then it swings back to an Irish folk/slang song with 'Jamaican' and Indian percussion overlay as 'fusion'....Then a quick change-over to latin folk groove and a sudden tempo change to accommodate Akhila singing 'Surumai Akhiyon', which is a song composed by famous composer 'Ilayaraaja'......And finally the track ends with a 'Gregorian Chant '....

Please forgive us for the sub-optimal quality of 'editing' and 'tempo-management' as we have not yet established a permanent 'metronome-pitch sync mechanism' over internet between the UK and India :-)
