Building from the success of their first release - The Moon Rack Compilation, an album compiling a variety of diverse creative influences, with a central theme of fusing genres and exploring contrasting moods - the Bristol-based Moon Rack is back with its first EP courtesy of Leeds-based producer, OSH. 

Featuring four experimental productions Moon Rack have struck gold in OSH's 'Northern Lights' EP. Through a fusion of twisted percussive elements, ambient synths, exceptional vocal sampling and ferocious breaks, OSH has developed a highly unique production style which, in turn, provides one of the most exciting and ambitious releases we've heard in a while.

Jheez we're back on the podcast with a power hour from one of MCR's finest crews - Kultura Collective. We've been well impressed with their forward thinking line ups & sick run of releases, so it's a pleasure to welcome them on and hear what they're digging atm.

As for the mix, we were seriously gassed why we heard the blend and energy that went into it. Broken beat goodness & grime instrumentals, laced in with pure sauce throughout.

To celebrate International Women’s Day we have a special mix from the woman in charge R. Nev. Here at Break The Night we have always been very conscious about pushing new female DJs into the lime light and providing a platform to get there names out there so it only seems right we release a mix today. R. Nev’s mix is full of hard hitting 140 techno bangers destined to shake your speakers and get your feet stomping. Her use of euphoric breakdowns and great track selection throughout the mix really takes you on a journey.

Goldman is a Bristol based producer, DJ and co-odinator of the 160bpm music forum  and promotions outlet WORKS (fka Half-time // Slow/fast) as well as the record label WORKS Records.  Both the label & club night under the WORKS moniker set out to exhibit the varying  global sounds of the grey area that exists between footwork, juke, jungle and hardcore music, whilst retaining the futurist vision set out by the originators of these genres.  
Similarly, Goldman’s productions set out to push boundaries, whilst paying homage to the origins of these genres. A drum machine enthusiast, his productions are written initially using an outboard sampler, and focus on creating grooves with minimal elements and a distinctly live feel, heavily inspired by the early days of UK rave music  & juke / footwork. 
His second EP, ‘The Waiting Room’, demonstrates his ability to make tunes for home  listening as well as the dancefloor, inspired by liminal spaces. 80s samples, warm funk  leads and airy, saturated pads are used alongside chopped up breaks & triplet drums  to create a sense of nostalgia, whilst leaning into the retro-futurism of 90s jungle &  forward thinking arrangements of Chicago footwork.  
He has had support from DJ Mag, Rinse France & Balamii, releases on Trax Haven, Excess & WORKS last year, and several more already lined up for this year.
