Wow! 
What a week it was! It was my 3rd burn this year and it was such a good feeling to play for the amazing @thegardensofbabylon crowd at HOME! 
When I started playing the sun was almost finished setting and a beautiful full moon was rising. The weather and the colors of the sky were so perfect! I hope my recorded set from that evening gives you similar feelings we all felt there!

Elif - The Gardens Of Babylon Burning Man 2018 Landing Ceremony @ Camp Bang Bang [27.08.2018]

A Monday like no other... After 9 hours wait to enter, we cruised the playa for the first time, we joined our Gardens of Babylon family for their welcoming party in Bang Bang, with so many familiar faces and friends, we directly felt at home! 
We then hoped on Maxa Camp's magical Deer art car, and drove toward Bang Bang, all of a sudden the party became a moving party, so many colourful bikes were following, we were completely mesmerized, it was the first time we played for a moving dancefloor! Until we reached the playa and then the crowd just didn't stop getting more colourful, more lights, more vibe. It literally was out of this world. 
What a welcome to Burning Man <3 !

Hailing from the Southern part of the Buenos Aires' province in Argentina, Pablo Carpignano is a producer, DJ, vinyl collector, percussionist and founder of Guateque Soundz & African Bitz, also known as Don Plok (@donplok), this Argentine has developed an interesting blending-fusion between African rhythms and tropical beats. Extremely in love with Afro music, drums and dub, psychedelic art and the mystic sounds of the world, Don Plok has been using this aesthetically pleasing combination of different styles and projects during his career, traveling from the tropical jungle to Afro, always following the black music, and now currently preparing his new LP, part of his new Downtempo project. 

Recorded with Ableton live in September when spring arrived, this 136th edition took inspiration from the black root in order to connect the style of each theme, from a Latin-African perspective within organic electronic music. Even though brief, Don Plok offers 45 minutes through a panoramic view, adding his own straight forward approach, delivering steady quality, experimentalism and emotiveness.

After an intense opening meditation from our Spiritual Guide Villia, I had the chance to open the stage for the night at one of the most respected and acclaimed clubs in Amsterdam, De Marktkantine. 

This night turned out to be a really wild night, as the name says, we went Wild As The Moon. The intensity was so high that the recording machine of had troubles during the night, but luckily for me I have the first hour of my set recorded.

After some thought, I decided to share this with all of you since this night was a really special one.

Klassified is about writing new stories but it is also about the forgotten hidden colourful history. Fulltone took us back to the 1960's where Veronicaschip was one of the first independent radio stations that provided an bold alternative sound to the Netherlands by being offshore. 
Embark into a new adventure, where the status quo is challenged, where colours dance with soundscapes, where Fulltone gave the Veronicaschip all its splendours!

I just returned from the magical Bonjuk Bay. This place is something else. The nature, the people, the love. So much beauty. It felt like returning to the essence of life. 

There were many magical moments but this sunset set is something I will never forget. Standing in-between the palm trees, looking at all these beautiful people dancing, celebrating the last moments of sunshine before we fade into the night.

My heart is filled with gratitude.

The enigmatic artist known as VANDER has demonstrated an incredibly diverse set of talents through remarkable releases, unique hybrid performances and a number of entrepreneurial ventures. Of Dominican descent, Andres is a gentleman in the streets but a prodigy on the beats, featuring a history of bringing records to high-ranking labels that to name only a few, include The Gardens of Babylon, Stil Vor Talent, Pipe & Pochet and Klassified. His sound is distinct, yet diverse, dancing the lines between Afro-Latin influences, synthwave and the darker sides of disco, but characterised by a signature spirit that one can only describe as unapologetically authentic. 

When he isn’t demolishing dance floors or crafting his next release, VANDER keeps busy with an extraordinary amount of non-ordinary pursuits. From booking international talent with his Amsterdam-based events label Corals to teaching the next generation of producers through the online platform known as the Curious Artist’s Club, the loveable Latino never ceases to inspire those around him with humility and hustle. While few know what he’s up to next, rumours of an explosive live performance are making the rounds among loyal fans and promoters alike.
