no longer the hustle and bustle so appealing
hand picked location on one side the cliff
the woods on the other 

fetching water from the old well 
that wouldn’t bother
the air the cleanest you’d breathed in years
the very medium

the higher the altitude, the cleaner the air, so they say
the thinner the air, the more blood cells
nothing wrong with that

unawares of the evil lurking in these lands 
you moved here lock stock and barrel 
the scent of what flows in your veins
the very essence for some other worldliness that was picking it up

that very night, windows wide open
just letting the night chill in
the same night air the very medium
an invitation to your doorstep

once invited why bother knocking ever again
an unsuspecting neighbour on a night stroll
the very predator 

a short trip to the well 
calls for a short abscence


back to the hard sucking sounds 
the void in the beast’s eyes staring back at you
not one drop of blood left in her veins
powerless to release her from the curse
now her nights are spent calling your name

Existem diversos caminhos em que musica se torna uma obsessão, mas todos eles aplicam uma dinâmica parecida na pessoa: A idéia de que todos os outros caminhos que a pessoa não fez se tornam uma possibilidade. Bad_Mix é Samuel Malbon, produtor e DJ e um dos fundadores da festa Caldo em São Paulo (SP), ele ficou conhecido nos últimos anos por sua impressionante capacidade de fazer todo tipo de faixa excelente para as pistas, mas aqui em Rotas Vivas este canivete suíço da musica eletrônica nos apresenta outro caminho: Acompanhado do impressionante baterista Leonardo Marques, nós nos deparamos com harmonias de qualidade poliglota, solos de tendência realista e uma bateria que respira, dobra e se desdobra, evitando típicas backbeats como se a vida de Leonardo dependesse disso ou talvez como se um disco do 4hero fosse jogado em uma sala de ensaio e fizesse questão de se tornar algo mais brasileiro do que já é. Existe um contexto de influência de jazz no disco? Sim, mas isso não é o epicentro da coisa, Rotas Vivas é um disco tão literal na ideia de que os diversos ramos da musica podem nos elevar a uma nova potencia, que qualquer outro nome ou conotação seria um crime. Quando alguém se possibilita algo a mais, você tem que oferecer o beneficio da duvida.

I was raised on a diet of 80s British indie bands such as Cocteau Twins, Dead Can Dance, This Mortal Coil, Bauhaus, Durutti Column, Love & Rockets, and certainly these bands sound will seep through my music, although sometimes I tried to get away from it all and follow my guitar teacher's advice and not use the basic chords.
