@rosesareblue: I'm thrilled that you enjoyed this :)  I always enjoy working with The Irate Pirate, in fact;  Arthur and Ronnie are putting together an epic 10 to 12 minute ballad.  It's a real tear jerker.  But anyway, I'm rambling on now-haha, so i'll just wrap it up with a thank you :D

I like so much the harmonies in this song!! I love how well this integrated voice with melody. Good, good vocals. Nice one!! ;-))

Pretty sure I have heard this on Arthur's cloud and he does fabulous songs fro my ears and this is another super one of his and sounding well good for the production done here Gabe my good friend...

Hi there,

My second stab at producing a track in Cubase that was recorded on my Zoom L12 

I'm getting to grips with the levels now, but need to work on the vocals.

This will hopefully be rerecorded soon with a live band set up.

Some time ago my friend Jonny Cooke asked me to play drums on a beautiful acoustic song he wrote...well, I never could imagine all this beauty, the magic guitar of Tom Adams, the evocative strings by Maira Huisman, the awesome work of Van Gabriel on mixing, mastering and production, and obviously the talent of Jonny....I'm so proud and honored to be part of this, me...an amateur drummer with such a cast of amazing musicians...thank you, my friends !!!

Thicker than water.    An alternative ending to The Mermaid's Tale. 

Somewhere in the labyrinth of The Mermaid's Tale an act of betrayal took place. A jealous Seaflame falsely accused her sister Seawind of sinking a ship. As a result Seawind was imprisoned in a stone circle on a hilltop where she died of a broken heart. (Chapter 2. In a Lovers' Storm) Now Seaflame begs hers sister's ghost for forgiveness.

Some of you may recall reading Shakespeare  at school and it is probable that your teacher pointed out that the plays were written to be performed by a troop of actors and viewed by an audience. You had to imagine the different characters speaking as you read through the dialogue. Do the same here and imagine female vocals from the three characters. 

A little confession. I borrowed the concept of a hateful act as 'a mischief' from Purcell's 'Dido and Aeneas' where the Sorceress invites her 'Wayward sisters' to 'Share in the fame of a mischief ' .

President Trump and The Witchfinder General Cummins drew my mind to the wickedly unfair demise of Lucifer.
