A long time friend of the label and an artist who needs no introduction, Recondite presents two unique techno narratives for his much anticipated first EP on Life and Death.

Up first and straight out the gate like the turning of the great Boethian wheel, Think Twice turns over and on top of itself again, like the march of time and the fortunes of paupers and princes alike. An ever advancing urgent reminder of the transitory nature of the eternal now, it graces us with her beauty and leaves us with a shaking sensation deep in our bones. 

On the B side, Serak begins with a bellowing bass emitted like a series of holotropic breaths from belly of Stanislav Grof himself. A sequence of sounds sent like a fishing line to the depths of the psyche, it returns with a portentous melody that winds and wanders until exploding midway thru the piece in a burst of restrained emotion.

Lately i have been buying a lot of vinyl, going through my thousands of old vinyl digging out good old stuff and just nerding it big time.
I love that the vinyl market kinda has its own sound that doesn't trend with what's happening at the charts on Beatport, iTunes, Spotify and whatever.
I love that you can actually get a lot of stuff on vinyl that is not available in the digital market and therefore get a chance to play music you know that not many djs actually play or even know exists.
I had a Friday night off. No gigs and no family or friend affairs to attend to. Its been a long time since i had a Friday night home and it didn't take long before the itch to play music was too big and i had to do something about it......
So..... I decided to record this vinyl set of some of the vinyls i bought in 2015 so far. This set probably represents a deeper shade of Noir than you are use to from the clubs where i most of the time play prime-time sets. But.......
I honestly love this sound and this set represents the kind of vinyl i always end up buying for my own personal pleasure and collection rather than thinking it has to be new floor fillers for the clubs around the globe.
This is just good music..... so here you go...... That's how i spent my Friday night. Mixing just for myself on 2x Technics 1210's just like it all started many years ago...... Never forget where you come from... huh ?
I apologies for the short jingles. They are put in there. Its done to respect the labels and artists who puts a lot of work into manufacturing the vinyls in the dig-age.... to avoid ripping etc.

This year I decided to go to Burning Man for only four days as I wanted to see other places before getting there, places which were like the opposite of the dusty Playa.

Those were four really intense days!

All I know is the first time I opened the door of my RV to ride my bike to go say "hello" to the man, I saw a shooting star in the sky...

I knew it was going to be a good year, and so it was!

I want to thank everyone that made this year the best. Each single soul I met who I laughed, talked and exchanged eye contact with!
