o•rbyss aims to help soothe the queer spectrum and focus on the well-being of the community. Queer DJs are invited to submit a mix to showcase an alternative side to their music library outside of a rave and take us on a meditative journey. ✨

Notes on the mix:

"I decided to follow a line of thought I often think about when I seek emotional harbour: "what would a lesbian DJ Screw sound like?". While I didn't fully commit to the bit, this mix is composed of many songs I have leant on at most maniacally lovelorn put into quicksand. Solo DJ sets tend to be more in thrall to the hot, heavy and edgy - and Repetitive Strain completely refuses to adhere to anything at all - so here I got iceberg slow and dramatic. This is subtitled "Lesbian Psychosis Salve", an hour of blowing slow dance kisses to the dykes."

Vanity Crystal is a London-born sound artist. She produces machinic transgendered wormhole sound alongside being a member of multiple bands in London's DIY scene — Rubber, Merging, Negative Space and Google Chrome Motherfuckers. As well as being ½ of "very difficult to describe" Balamii resident duo Repetitive Strain, she has been found taking an anti-genre approach to solo sets on Refuge Worldwide, Netil Radio and Loose.FM.

All around nice guy, DJ and one of the main heads man behind San Francisco's hotspot for wine and music fans Bar Part Time! And also one of the guys behind the Club Lonely parties with the best underground vibes!

Jeremy made an excellent mix for us here at Trush with the sounds of the early nineties, giving it a house infused vibe, as he states himself, house dubs on freestyle, and under the radar cheapos that have been in my bag that I wanted to use!
