It was truly an honor to be invited out to play at this "house party" by my friends at Deepdharma Technologies. So cool to share such an experience with so many great people. Initially envisioned as a purely forest set, this set came together rather quickly and ended up diving into more of a darkpsy feel while still keep the BPM from 148-150.40. Definitely another challenge as I really explored a genre (forest) and BPM range I'm less familiar with, but I was really happy with the result! Hope you enjoy!!

Inner Depths [Forest/Darkpsy Mix] (Recorded on 7-1-17 @ The Weird Chalet's Innerspace in Iowa City)

This set was recorded at a Halloween gathering at the Astral Matter Habitat in place of the planned Divine Darkness. It's pretty "lazy" as far as DJing goes, as I played a lot of really long tracks and didn't incorporate any samples as I often do...and I kept waiting until the last second to choose the next track because I didn't want to stop listening to the current track ^_^ Definitely felt like it was one of the heaviest sets I've ever played, and the most stacked with absolutely top-notch tracks...maybe not the best for a long 'journey' but I just kept being totally stunned by what the producers of those tracks were/are able to do...at least until I put on Yoshua Em and I was about ready to shut it off because I felt nothing could follow that XD But we kept getting wild after that anyway :D

VANTA Neuron is the artistic moniker of George Varghese, a rising talent in the global psychedelic music scene, originating from Kerala, India—commonly referred to as “God’s Own Country.” Born in 1993, George has been deeply connected to music since his early years, gravitating toward instrumental compositions, rolling basslines, and immersive dance rhythms.

His introduction to Psychedelic Dance Music came at the age of 19 in a university town, which served as a gateway to Goa—the epicenter of psytrance culture. Immersed in this vibrant community, George pursued his passion by attending exclusive gatherings and live performances, eventually meeting his mentor, Daash, a pivotal figure in his musical journey. In 2019, this partnership led to his induction into Seraaphanaa Records as a DJ.

Specializing in dark psyberdelic soundscapes, VANTA Neuron has co-compiled two notable releases with Daash: Mysteries of the Quantum Realm and Multiverse XX22, both under Seraaphanaa Records. A third compilation is currently in progress, further showcasing his commitment to the evolution of psychedelic music. Beyond his work as an artist, he actively supports the management of Seraaphanaa Records and serves as the curator of Goa’s Wabi Sabi Festival, a premier event celebrating transformative psytrance experiences.

In 2023, VANTA Neuron expanded his repertoire by signing with Chanakya Records, solidifying his position as an influential force within the psytrance community. His work reflects a profound dedication to pushing the boundaries of psychedelic music while contributing to its growth on a global scale.
