The Tale

Deeply lost, sunk into long forgotten he found a relic that he had been longing for for decades.
Happy to have finally found it, he imagined who it might belong to and who could leave such a wonderful creation behind.
He looked around and discovered the 5 burden bearers of valor, justice, hope, fate and wisdom. Saw their shame and pain.
Saw the extent of destruction around him.
Saw the blasphemous ignorance of humanity, forgetting what all those who were long forgotten in ruins and the values of that time rotted with them.
Fearfully he fell to the ground, understood every single one of them, lay the artifact behind and left the place.
Except for one drawing he forgot everything that happened back then. He now hangs over the fire, sometimes sitting there and remembering what the Angiris Council did for us.

London producer Keplrr https://soundcloud.com/keplrr debuts on Midgar with 'Plumes'. Known for his productions on trendsetting outlets like Control Freak Recordings and Pressure Dome where he showed his excellent take on forward thinking broken techno music, right here for Midgar he uses a more straight forward approach with two versions of title track 'Plumes'. The original is a subtle, percussive and playful techno groover, where the 'Meditation Mix' flips this impeccable groove into an airy atmospheric after-house mood. Second track 'Pulse' continues on this breezy atmosphere, it's a floaty eyes-closed deep trip, with carefully arranged drums creating the perfect breakdown. Keplrr's creative process delves into the profound, seeking to encapsulate the sensation of falling or morphing, blurring the lines between reality and reverie. His aim is to transport listeners to a state somewhere between a dream and a trip, where the boundaries of perception dissolve, and the subconscious takes flight. This EP embodies that quest, each track a sonic voyage into the depths of consciousness.

Keplrr - Plumes (Meditation Mix)

Drumcode favourite Bart Skils kickstarts the new year with his sixth EP for the label Bark Skils opens new year's season with his 6th hard hitting EP released on Drumcode

Since his debut on Drumcode in 2012, Bart Skils has been one of the label’s most regular contributors, with the Dutchman’s brand of functional, hook-driven techno a go-to weapon for Adam Beyer; from his stellar ‘Shadowprint’ EP in 2014, to last year’s classy remix of Moby’s ‘Go’. One of The Netherland’s hardest working ambassadors for techno, he is the organiser of the beloved Voltt Love Summer Festival that’s has been a favourite of Beyer’s for many years. 

His latest work for Drumcode, ‘Bells of the Revolution’ continues his impeccable reputation for quality with everything he does, with four cuts all with their own distinct storyline. The title track is characterised by dark driving grooves and bubbling acid line that slowly evolves into a lush melodic riff. ‘Ocean Drive’ nose-dives into deeper techno territory, while maintaining a sense of exquisite tension throughout. ‘Vocalized’ follows, a stomping acid techno cut that slides into the deep courtesy of skilfully programmed vox and elegant licks of melody. The EP concludes with ‘Retrodade’, a track that’s been one of the biggest in Beyer’s sets in 2017 and features the famous vocal from Rozalla’s ‘Everybody’s Free’. The sample was used with kind permission from the iconic ‘90s singer.

He|Him

Marvin Hoyer aka Vanta based in Leipzig, is an artist who navigates the space between raw intensity and hypnotic sound design. Originally rooted in metalcore and hardcore, he has always been drawn to the realms of electronic and experimental music. Exploring the unknown through impulsive rhythms, dissociative sounds, and dark, immersive atmospheres, his goal is to captivate listeners with his productions, DJ sets, and live performances.

Since 2019, Vanta has been shaping his distinct sound within both the local and international scene, releasing on labels such as Charybdis, Further Sessions, KVLTÖ Records, and Deflection Music, among others. His productions reflect a deep fascination with raw energy, hypnotic structures, and sonic contrasts—merging intensity with precision.

In late 2024, he became an official member of Munich-based IO Records, finding not only a creative home but also a like-minded community. In 2025, he joined Leipzig's aequalis crew, known for its influential event series that once defined the sound of the late Institut für Zukunft and now continues to evolve beyond its former home.

With a vision that bridges genres and defies conventions, Vanta remains committed to pushing sonic boundaries-always seeking the next unexplored space in sound.
