Kogetsu Eguchi (1825-1867) was a Japanese poet active in the late Edo period. Together with Kazan Watanabe, he authored the haiku book Tōke shunchō.

Kaga no Chiyo-jo (1703–1775) was a haiku poet discovered by Kagami Shiko at a very young age. She became a Buddhist nun at 52 and wrote around 1,900 haiku in her lifetime. A highlight of her poetry career was presenting haiku to a Korean delegation in 1763, one of the first cultural exchanges of this kind.
