Unconformist, the rising Swiss techno prodigy and head honcho of Underground Connexion Records is set to release his upcoming Hidden Cults EP on STRISCTRX. Although only established in 2017, the label founded by Berlin-based producer STRISC. has become fast known for its stream of stellar techno releases. Hidden Cults is the latest EP to be released on the label and a crushing testament to STRISCTRX’s reputation as a platform for world class techno.

The 4-track EP opens with Rites. Fierce; heavy; and unforgiving, Rites is a pounding techno slammer with a monumental midpoint drop and a colossal conclusion that perfectly introduces the extraordinary talent honed by the up and coming producer.

Stepping up to the remix of Rites is STRISC. himself who features on the second track of the upcoming EP. Although the founder of the STRISCTRX imprint remains shrouded in mystery, the quality and consistency of his productions confirm him as one of the most exciting rising stars in techno.

STRISC’s remix of Rites is a gut-wrenching techno tirade with a furious tempo and relentless drum track that’s guaranteed to dominate the most formidable of dancefloors.

The third track on Hidden Cults is an original mix from Unconformist entitled Formality that packs a punch with a thunderous pace whilst retaining depth with an undercurrent of melancholic synths.

Liturgy, the fourth and final track on the EP is another razor sharp techno weapon. Relentless percussion builds pressure as twitching, foreboding synths create a sinister tension until the final drop, taking the EP to an unforgettable conclusion.

Detroit based producer Uun returns to Soma following an impressive debut on the label earlier this year with more deep, dark seeded Techno in the Architects Of Fear EP. This ominous and brooding release is backed by a remix from fellow US producer Altstadt Echo who recently released his first, full length album on seminal Techno label, Semantica. 

The Vanity Trap opens the EP with a sense of urgency as bouncing rhythms steadily open up into pulsating, electric synths that seem to crawl through your skin whilst fast, effective percussion keep the pace. Between The Lines keeps the release pounding with a huge kicks and perfectly built hypnotic rhythms. Altstadt Echo steps up next with his remix of The Vanity Trap. His take offers a more broken beat and deeper affair as he puts the originals synths to work in a more drone orientated fashion. Machinations Of Descent closes the EP on a throughly hard hitting tone yet melancholic tone. An astute ambient producer as well, he merges his Techno & melodic elements beautifully on this track.
