…well, I’m sure there are certainly more elaborate and traditional ways to greet the sunshine, such as a bitta gardening, whipping out the paddling pool or rummaging through your wardrobe to uncover the few sets of summer clothes you have. Regardless, the sweet sounds of a Selky set are sure to compliment the incoming hotter days, and you know it.

Variant Sound w/DJ Selky 3rd April 2021

Very, very pleased to have the one and only Glimmerman onto our show!

He blessed us with a fantastic set full of seriously sick system shakers, which is nothing less than what we expected. Very glad to hear plenty of dubstep towards the end as well, makes our little hearts that beat at 140 so warm.

Another Variant Sound show, another fantastic guest playing with us!  
For this edition of Variant Sound, we had Jack Ward delight us with a guest mix full of joyful pop, house and techno among other blends of genres. There is an underlined summer feel to the whole mix, which suited the timing perfectly since it was when the sun finally graced us in 2021 with proper cans in the park vibes. Originally meant to be just us mixing for the first hour and then Baliboc taking over the second, a technical issue made it so that it was an all out b2b2b (b3b?) session in the second hour. Mad fun as expected!

Variant Sound w/Baliboc 9th February 2019

Our 3rd show with the the cousin of Nihilist and son of a gun, the one 'n' only DJ Biblical Plague! He was also known as DJ Lipsetti, bfalcon9000 and probably some other cool names that we're unaware of, but the main thing is that he's on this mix in the second half of the show doing his thing with the vinyls and it's lovely.

Our fifth mix as Variant Sound on DDR, on May the 4th, no Star Wars tracks to be heard on this mix though. Perhaps a random droid on Coruscant tuned in? Maybe. We'll just say one did. Or two. Or fifteen, maybe they had a droid party while listening to us mixing. Yeah. Yeah, we'll just say that happened.

Anyway, it's just the 2 BoYz on this mix, with one hour of b2b footwork in the second hour. Enjoy!

Variant Sound 4th May 2019

Our sixth Variant Sound show on DDR, this time with special guest Rob Ickis Mirolo!

Rob was indeed a very special guest as he treated us to a psych-rock set, a set that is quite distant from the usual sounds we play on our show. We loved every minute of it.

Also, fun fact, there were some technical difficulties with playing USB's for Rob(i.e., we didn't have a linking ethernet cable for the two decks), so our work-around was to have one deck using Rob's USB, while the other was hooked up to Rob's phone playing tunes off Spotify. It went surprisingly smooth!

Anyway, hope you enjoy the mix!
