Thomas K. makes music to explain, to him, every track means something else, a different frame of mind, he play real instruments, nothing is produced simply with a PC. 
As someone who claims to "love every kind of music". 
He says he "grew up with Underworld and now i listen to every artist who has something to say". 
The EP is ispired from 2001 a space odyssey and it tries to bring across the concept of the evolution (as in the movie). Dwelling on the evolution of the Artificial Intelligence and the humanization of machines. 
This is Variant Electronics first concept album, and I don't think this will be the last from Mr. Anderson.
