New indie label Subject Matter Records releases double 12” album A Perfectly Reasonable Question by Hadamard

Electro / IDM artist Hadamard expands his horizon to lush Ambient and Downtempo music with his new 10 track album A Perfectly Reasonable Question, out now on Vinyl, Digital Download and Streaming Services.

Artist and entrepreneur Janko Bartelink, a.k.a. Hadamard has been releasing electronic music since his first release on legendary underground label Bunker Records in 2006. Following up with a steady stream of music on labels such as Solar One Music, Transient Force, Semantica, Mighty Robot Recordings, Propaganda Moscow and Last Known Trajectory, 2023 marks the year he takes matters into his own hand and starts his own label, Subject Matter Records. The first release is here, a beautifully produced and designed double vinyl album which takes the listener on a journey through existential questions in search for meaning.

A Perfectly Reasonable Question is a double 12”album which combines 90’s style downtempo, dubby hiphop beats and ambient interludes to create a grainy, greyscale soundtrack to a quest for meaning. 

This album is the inaugural release to Subject Matter Records, a new label which focuses on releasing concept driven electronic music. And this first release is a case in point. Everything here is aimed at telling a story, from the music, to the track titles through the full color artwork. Join Hadamard on a quest for answers to existential questions in which we contemplate the human condition, our place in the universe, beauty, consolation, death and, ultimately, the why behind all of it. Whether or not you find answers is up to you. But, in any case, enjoy the journey.

"Moonshine On The Nightingale" is the first official release by Singer/Songwriter Man On An Island. 
The single builds up with ambient tones, which build a spheric musical base throughout the whole song. The songwriter plays a steadily picking pattern, that is being enriched by stacked effect pedals, while singing with a soft and calm voice. 
This single was recorded, mixed and mastered by the Man On An Island. 
"Moonshine On The Nightingale" will be a part of an upcoming EP, which will be released in September 2019.
